Speedtech/Dave Stock New World record
Thats Dave's crew chief Bam. Bam guides Dave up until he is about 12" out from the pre-stage beam. Just before Dave moves into stage, Bam shows Dave the chute safety tag so Dave knows it hasn't been left on the chute. We use this very specific staging procedure to help with driver confidence, and run consistency.

The car has run the same engine at every meet, and infact this engine was carried over from Dave's street car that he ran last season. Other than usual maintenance it has been untouched and ultimately reliable.
We have run upto 42 psi on the dyno, and with the large GT45 turbo it is safe to say that it will continue making more power to well over 50 psi!
There really is nothing to hide in the build of this car. We believe in complete transparency, and the entire build has been well documented on the NZ MMC forum including a list of most of the parts used.
Too many shops make out that this sort of build is a black art, and shroud it in mystery. We believe nothing is further from the truth. We had a design brief, selected parts to meet the design aims, and then built the car. The results speak for themselves.

You guys seems to exude the extreme professionalism

Also appreciate the pics of the other monsters you guys have over there

Are those Hoosier DR's i see on one of those cars
If so how they working for ya?
There aren't too many people drag racing the later shape EVO's yet. We have easy access to the earlier cars which are cheap and light hence most people go down that path.
Dave sent the bench mark last season when he ran 9.59 @ 146 mph in what was essentially street trim and using a smaller TO4Z turbocharger. Other than this I don't know if there are any late model cars in the 10's over here? Or in Australia for that matter.

Thanks for the response and i applaud the attention to detail as at this level i'm sure it's very easy to have lots going on in the minds of everyone on the team.

If so how they working for ya?We found the Hoosier DR's to be quite effective. We had them on two cars in the pics above. The EVO 2 ran low 9's, and 1.4X 60' times before we swapped to the Mickey T's.
