rx-7 16" FD wheels

I been looking into these oem fd wheels to run with the hoosiers qtp tires.
my question is that i have found out that there are two kinds... ones that reinforced and ones that are not... what is the difference between the two and would i be okay to run either one on hoosier qtp's? any info would help thanks

these are the wheels by the way.

There is a thread on this somewhere on this forum. I think you need the non-reinforced ones because they are the ones that will fit with the OEM brakes.

Rx7 wheels

I have both kinds. The ones with the defined bell fit with a 20 mm hub centric/wheel centric spacer. I just tried it in my garage.

Looks like almost 14lbs. Add about 2.5 lbs for each spacer.

Mazda RX7 FD3S Cast 16x8 15.4
Mazda RX7 FD3S - PFD Cast (Brittle) 16x8 13.8

They still require a spacer to fit the front Brembos.

rx7 rims

Weighed rims on home scale( not very accurate)
Evo X rim with Advan 46 lbs
Rx7 with Hoosier QTP 32 lbs
Nice rotational weight savings.
Shootout tomorrow
I'm ready!

My 17" wheels and slicks weigh about 29lbs together (MT Moto Slicks). Looking forward to running at the track with them!
