Question Whats My Problem?!?!??!

went to the track last night......cold 38 no humidity.....i got one run in after waiting 1 1/2 hours.....whats my problem..by the way its with my brothers evo.....BR turboback, rmr intake filter, grounding kit, Dynoflash tuned by AL.....

rt.=.091 (awesome)

60ft=1.75

1/4=13.13

Its my car he ran. Al gained me 30 max WHP and 45 tops. Said I would easily go from 13.20 @ 103.5 to 12.6-8's and gain AT LEAST 4 MPH. Whats up?? AND he said it was the most hes gained on an EVO with no boost control. Whats going on AL?? Maybe I should have gone with Shiv like my brother. Im not giving up yet though, gonna give it one more night at the races, prob 2 times down the track. if not in the 12's then I guess Ill be the 1st customer of Al's to ever get it flashed back to stock. Sorry Al. I didnt pay 500$ for .07 and .9 MPH.

Was the engine cold or at proper operating temp when the run was done?

Remember in drag racing it takes substantially more power to keep dropping the ETs 30 HP is great but its a different ballgame as you start getting into the 12s. So yes your car is a 12 sec car it seems that you can launch it but with the same shift styles its going to need more and more power to get substantial gains if you yourself doesnt get faster with the shifts (BTW you do spend a substantial amout of time off power if your not fassssssssttttttt)

any wheel spin or shake? Did you keep the car going in a straight line? 38deg temps, man those tires would need to be blazed to hook up. Cold weather sucks for going fast. I mean real cold weather like you said you were in. Could be tires, engine temp, cold is just not good for trying to go fast.

This is where an automatic can shine, no shift problems.

well, if you dyno'd 30 more whp, I'm doubting it just disappeared when you got to the track...

My guess is that it has something to do with the weather...and maybe something to do with how you're driving it.

screw a dynoflash and cool weather is good.
try different shift point say like at 6900 for all gears
your definately getting out of the hole at 1.75 60 ft mark, 1/8 mile time and speed?

That's pretty fast. Name one street legal car that goes that fast and has a 2.0L engine except WRX.
