Why VIII turbo anyway?

 

my goal is to run 10's. weather it be 10.5 or 10.9 im happy. u can be king for a day and hold the top spot. i just want a damn 10 sec pass. :P The answer to why a stock 8 turbo is easy. It came with the car

 

I am hoping to go the day my car get's finished up. I plan on taking that top spot If I don't, I am going to be one sad panda.

I cheated by buying a race car, hah. I was on the cusp of 10's last year though, with my daily! I just like white car's better, that's all

 

I think I just raised the price of the stock IX turbo. Turbojunkie is doing the same for the VIII turbo. haha. I love the spool of the IX. Just wish I can get a little more top end. The last 1/8 mile feels like its slowing down.

Ya I had one here but had to use it on a customers car. I tightened the stock actuator all the way down but it didn't help. I might need to do some porting on the turbine housing at the same time. My only motivation is seeing turbojunkie hold boost with his VIII turbo.

I've considered making the WG small, so that the turbo boost creeps up top. I still don't think it's going to help too much, since the head will outflow the turbo, but it should help keep boost up top. I still think that a better flowing WG is going to make more power under the curve though.

No excuses remember? I'm not gonna post any number and say it's because I didn't blah blah, or this was blah blah. No excuses.

 

Although my 60' suck for having such tires. Haha. Just motivates me to see room for improvement. I also have another trick I'm gonna try. I might take some practice runs on the dyno. Haven't done it(with an AWD) for a while but mustang dyno has a 1/4 mile simulation. I'm gonna play with 2nd to 4th shift points and compare times between the gears. I love this blue machine. I'll make sure to post vids. (better buy more/new straps)
