They have there upgraded turbo kit on it. They didn't have a very good 60' time. I think it was a 1.8x or 1.9x . Traction problems off the line. Should be a low 11 with a good sixty. Highest MPH on EVO 8, I think.

notice how Buscher competes with just the stock turbo, another amazing thing about the quality of their products. Also, according to Tym, they were not trying to get the best time, just testing; he felt that if he had ran a couple of more times, he could have been at the mid 11s. Maybe someone from Buscher should elaborate on this further, but in any case, awesome products!!!

So Al's still the quickest, but no longer the fastest Evo VIII in the US. We're going to have to wait till Sunday to see who the new record-holder will be when Al runs at Englishtown.

Traps doesen't mean ****. Look at Buschur's car. The reason why I don't streetrace; it takes no talent. Drag racing is about your time, not your HP.

Congratulations to Ultimate on their new times. We are definately looking forward to testing our new prototype turbochargers. I believe that it is possible to get an 11.4x out of the stock turbocharger with some diligent tuning. As I stated before, we were not out to run any records the last time out. Having run 10.9x's in a DSM with 124mph trap speeds I believe I can say with relative certainty that a 10 second pass in the EVO is not too far away. This will definately require an optimized turbo combination. You guys know us, and you know that we work to optimize every component to its fullest potential. This is what we will pursue in our turbo upgrade development. I think that you will find many mis-matched turbocharger combinations run on the EVO... turbos that pull great top end, but spool miserably between shifts. This will yeild you disappointing performance at best. You can put a 1000hp capable turbocharger on your 4g63, but if you had to use nitrous to spool it every time you wanted to accelerate ... would you really want to? Anyone can bolt a larger turbocharger on an engine, however, engineering a complete combination with components that work in harmony ... that's an entirely different endeavor.

Take care,
