The GM cars were all on methanol, but nowhere near 2200hp either. The highest number I ever heard tossed around was 1700hp (crankshaft). I think the fastest trap speed they went in the ProFWD cars was 218mph and those cars were pretty light. Absolutely amazing cars though, definitely!
