Double Virgin 1/4 time: 13.7
Just returned from Carlsbad Raceway in So. Cal. I have never drag raced in my life and neither has my Evo. In fact, this was the first time I have ever dropped my clutch. I ran a 13.7 at 100.5 in my first and only run. I was satisfied with this time and didn't want to risk breaking my car.
I was very worried about stressing my drivetrain so I filled my tires to 44 psi and got in the lane that folks said was slipperier. Pretty much dropped the clutch at about 5800-6000 rpms. Shifted at 7,200 in all gears. My tires spun WAY more than I expected but at least that was better on drivetrain. What could I do different next time?
My slip is posted on next thread. 100% bone stock, 93 octane.
