So decided to take the evo to the track before I put it away for winter. It was my first time. I know my 60 foot was horrible. Video to follow.

Total of 5 runs. 13.2, 13.2, 13.0, 12.9, 12.9. Weather was 50.

raise your 2-step to 6000 and work on your 60ft. Those were pretty much the same mods I had exept for the twin disc and I hit a 12.3@110mph with a 1.7 60ft.

 

i think my two step is at 6000. but when I slipped the clutch at 6000, I was spinning really bad

 

work on your launch for sure... once you get that 60' you are at a mid to low 12, practice practice. good luck

set 2step at 6k, lower tire psi to about 20 and that should help out your 60ft

 

Just takes seat time man. Dont worry stick with it and you will be fine.
best advice I ever got is dont go drag racing like you are scared of breaking your car. Pretend you are driving someone elses car and you dont care if it breaks lol.

 

I drive it hard. No regrets haha. I slipped the clutch at 6000, and I spun for awhile

 

pm'd. Just saw your on all seasons. But regardless controll the wheel sping with clutch control. I would say 6K will work although I always use and recommend 6500 on a regular street tire. Good luck.

just some more practice, all you need is a better sixty.

 

Your car is running very well. Keep practicing - you'll drop 1/2 second and pick up another MPH or so just with a 1.7 60' (definitely attainable w/a 6000 RPM good launch) and will be 12.2x's with some practice on your 1-2 shift.

I 100% agree with this statement. If you want to go as fast as your car is capable this is what MUST be done.

 

MPH is there. Just seat time.
