we need to run again, from a stop too

sorry the vid just ends, the camera man stopped the camera when I hit the brakes. I ran out of 4th at 118 ish and had to let off.

 

wait wait, your the mustang? he was pulling on you up top, where our cars are not near as good, and you want to race him from a stop? are you crazy?! i hate to say it buddy, but your ganna get wasted. you know it awd right?if your getting beat by him at those speeds, your doors will get blown off from a stop.

edit: i just watched that vid again, you got a big jump, and he realed you in and was passing you at those speeds. that is the worst spot for an evo to race... go ahead and race from a stop... see what happens.

Was a friendly race. I didnt really get a jump, half car at most... and that was due to his turbo spooling and me leaving from peak torque. its the camera angle. I got a car on him in third and he pulled back a car in 4th, I had to let off at the top of fourth. the camera is decieving i know, because my passengers' angle, wher ethe camera loses sight of the evo, he is actually at my door, look at the head lights on the ground.

 

im not a troll, im not the newbie here. anyways, dont mean to be a dick. so i wont. but im just saying, if that car was handling you like that at highway speeds, its 10 times faster from a stop. when i only had turboback exhaust/intake and a boost controller,i could take a 03 cobra from a stop to over 100 mph, but from highway speeds, its all over for me. point is, the evo from a stop is a much different car than from a roll. currently, mine will make a 03 cobra cry at any speed.. but that is besides the point.

 

you talk to me like I am a NEWB... I am far from it. I know exactly what I am up against and what my car is setup for. and of course he is going to pull in 4th.

he is holding boost all the way, so he has a nice flaaaat hp curve and at full spool through 4th has an advantage against my ALL MOTOR car at

he does have the advantage from that roll, my car is setup for drag.

I race to race and thats that, win or lose. If your the type of person that wont race someone when you know your gonna lose, well that says something about you. I raced him thinking he was another guy who I knew trapped 108. so I thought it would be a good run. we stopped and talked later. and I was just posting the vid for him as I said I would.

when i said newbie i meant on this board. i did say i would stop being a dick. i can see your not like most othre mustang owners ive talked to. you are trying to be nice. im ussually called a "f*cking riceboy" by mustang owners until i win the race. thats where im coming from. but i do like to race even if i know im ganna loose... except for recently, the ticket count is up to 3 now.

 

nice video. the mustang sounds sweet. it looked to me that it was a pretty even race.

Try running me from a roll and I gurantee I wont loose!!! Run me from a stop good luck!!! Just have a look at dave bushchurs Evo 8 which will do 0-60mph in 2.5-3.0 sec range on street tires Anyways good run. Thumbs up to quick fords mustangs!!! I have a few of my friends have them , and a few have traded theirs in for Evos!!!heheee damn more competiton for me!!! Its gonna get real competitive here in Cali

why is everyone saying to run them when they are many states away from me.

haha, nice vid snoozer. Yeah alot of import guys get all defensive when a domestic owner posts, but dont worry about it.
And also guys, just because we own AWD cars, doesn't mean we should all asume a 1.7 60ft .... a lot of newb drivers cant launch worth **** and end up hitting 1.9-2.2's in their evos. So the statement, "Run him from a stop and see what happens" is really getting old.
