Sub 3 second 0-60?

how much power is necessary for an evo on 235/45-17's with stock gear ratios to hit 60 in 3 seconds or under?

I know 0-60 is kind of a relatively meaningless statistic etc., but I'm just curious as more and more supercars approach this target, what it will take for the evo to match pace?

For example, the current nissan gtr with 530hp @3800 pounds with launch control and dual clutch will hit 60 in roughly 2.9 seconds.. What kind of power does the evo need not to get left behind by this new wave of supercars?

i would say the same? maybe a touch less if the evo spools the same whp at same rpm etc, its a bit lighter so its got that advantage,,but much smaller wheels..

Who cares? 0-130+ is what makes a difference at the track

i care. also the gtr does 0-30 in 1.1 seconds... which is crazy.

i'm in general referring to the power level/supporting mods (like upgraded t-case) etc that can match pace with that kind of insane launch/initial acceleration

I remember seeing a sti doing 0-30 in 1.3 but anyways 450whp probably less with a good launch and little lag possibly imo.

Your comparing auto vs manual, big difference in times. Tires more limit your 0-60 than mods. If you can't hook your not going to get a good time.

I looked up calculator for it and it said mine was estimated to be 1.91 based off of 1/8 mile ET and trap. I make 591whp, but my car is kinda light and this was on slicks.

A gtech meter shows 0-60. Mellon says its pretty accurate. I have been meaning to test it out. This summer I will. I believe I'm in the low 3 sec range
