MotorTrend EVO 0-60 and 1/4 variations
Stock EVO from MotorTrend October 2003
0-60 : 5.4 seconds
1/4 mile : 14.09@94.05
Braking 60-0 ft : 111
600-ft slalom, mph 68.9
Stock EVO from MotorTrend June 2003
0-60 : 4.59
1/4 mile : 13.08@105.1
Braking 60-0 ft : 106
600-ft slalom, mph 71.4
I can understand different numbers coming in from different magazines, but come on.... this is the same magazine with numbers completely different. 0-60 is off by more than 1 second, 1/4 is off by more than 1 second and the mph differs by 11mph in the 1/4 Heck even the 600-ft slalom mph speed decreased by almost 3mph!!
Have a look below

Still 50whp 1.29 seconds in the 1/4 and 15 mph? I want that 50 whp. Oh and Godl Rims on a Red Car? I usually like most any combination, but this looks a little off to me.

i think an evo that runs 14s its all the drivers fault, or it can be the temps and sea level, ect.... Also it could be one of the bad evos. I read someone that some guy dynoed his evo and got 160WHP! I would cry if that happend to me and make the dealer give me a new one.

There is no way a stock EVO runs 105 - 106 mph stock. My roomate has had two EVO's since Feb when they came out. ( first one crapped out due to tranny problems) I've ran my 97-99 mph Benz against him & his car barely gets a car on me by the big end. I will pounce him outa the hole any day to boot! The street is different than the track & HKS wants sales to show that 15K is worth it. I have the same problem dropping 15k w/Renntech to mod my Benz.
