1st time to the track on my new setup
Well.. its not an evo.. just a little baby lancer
Holiday Beach Dragway 1/8 mile 3/19/2011
and was only at 11psi.. using my 235/60/15 (26'' tall M/t DRs) (my actual street tires)
track only allows DR/slicks; no street tires allowed. so track was sticky, and ive had no issues at all with traction all the way up to 17psi or so... Was only at 11psi, i drove to and from the track, no trailer so i took it easy at low boost
pulled out a
7.9 @ 92mph first pass. 1/8
2.14 60'
Did 3 or 4 more passes, all were getting progressivly worse or i let off well before 300' mark, wanted to up the boost a little just cuz the car was running pretty rich, but didnt workout at all.
was gunna go grab the slips n scan them, but then i realised i didnt care. should be back out in 3 or 4 weeks at 20 or 24psi. automatic is a pain to launch. was hopin that someone got it on video, but i havent seen it come up yet
1 pic of the car right before i drove 37miles to the track.. ( ran without fenders n bumper on the car ) and i didnt have my 26'' tall skinnies on the rear, was to lazy to put to them on.

there might be one.. i know i didnt have a camera.. track openly records everyone so a video should pop up of me atleast doing a burnout, maybe a run.

Hopen for 11s at 17psi. and 10s at 24psi. still have no traction issues, hopen it stays that way. but im not gunna do 1/4 till i get my suspension setup done.. Still havent ordered any coilovers yet.

well i went to steele dragway last night and towed the car out there. only 13psi did a 13.1@108mph, (my only 2.0 60' pass) need to get down to the 1.8-1.7' range. would easilly put the car into the 12s, just couldnt do it last night(was my fault to, not the cars)
13.1 -- 1/4
108mph
8.3 -- 1/8
88mph
2.01 -- 60'
Lost that slip, only slip i found in the car when i got home was a 13.3@ 105..
my 1/8 mile went way down, donno if it had something to do with the big weather change or poor track conditions. but she has been down the 1/4 mile now at low boost.
there were a few people recording, i have 2 videos. nothing impressive, but still had a ton of fun. was hoping to a 12.99 or faster(was doing 12.8s on the old setup at 16psi!), just didnt happen last night, kept screwing up EVERY launch, if i didnt bog 1st, i bogged 2nd. its helping me make up my mind on my new few modifications.
ill post a video or 2 later.

ya. im in 3rd when i cross the 1/8th.. and im at the top of 3rd at the 1/4 mile. its a really long drawn out gear.. Need much more boost to get through it faster, or a little spray. my 1/8 mile mph dropped about 5mph for some reason compared to when i was at the track the week before.
