well. what a amazing weekend. i took the car to the DSM/EVO shootout in Ohio that David Buschur holds every year. thanks so much for inviting me for the 4th year in a row. i have a blast every time. also david talked me into trying auto cross. i said what the hell and lets try it. its better then walking around for 5 hours looking at the same cars over and over. HAHAHAHA omfg autoX is so damn fun. i loved it. even with the issues i had with my car i still pulled threw and made 8 laps. it was so much fun. i did not expect to love it like that. what a great time. i will definitely be doing it again next year. and maybe at the local autox's around town. my best time was a 38.226.

on to drag racing. my heart and soul. again. an amazing turn out and event. 3k+ crowd is what i was hearing. anyways this year was a bit rough. a lot of car's braking and failing. even with 1 crash everyone at the end of the day was safe and walked away from there issues. that is what matters the most.

i got 4 passes in. my goal was to beat my best time of 10.32. i had a goal of 10.250. i had some issues all day though. sadly nothing went right and when it did it quickly went wrong again.

1st pass was my shake down run. i wanted to feel the track out and just get my nerves loosened up. i also had to re adjust my boost from the Saturdays autox. i ran 30psi doring that event. so i turned the boost up. i believe it hit 36psi that pass. but i had a 1.71 60 foot and it broke up in 4th gear.

2nd pass. i changed the plugs and turned the boost up some more. i believe it was 38psi that pass. i ripped a ''new personal best'' 60 foot of 1.54. from that moment i knew i had my 9 second pass. all i had to do was shift. 2nd gear and 3rd gear the car is hauling ***. i knew it was gonna be spectacular. once i hit 4th gear i saw the finish line come closer and all i had to do was enjoy my ride. and then it happened. the car fell off. sputtering like a ****. my dreams were crushed. i didnt know what to do or say. i pull up to the guy handing out the time slips and there it was. 10.1 at 139mph. i didnt think it was that good being i lost half of my 4th gear pull. but i immediately was happy. i knew today i was going to run 9s. i just had to fix my issue. i drove back in a hurry. i get out and pop the hood and the number 3 injector plug came off the injector. i rigged up a quick fix and got back in line. waiting to redo what i knew i could do. i was so confident in my self.

3rd pass. i turn the boost up another 1/2 turn to try and hit my 40psi mark. i line up and as i am staged i said to my self this car is shifting so damn nice right now dan. stop babying it. i launch and got a 1.61 60 foot. not great but it still felt good to me. BAM 2nd gear. yea boy. BAM 3rd gear. o hell yea. and then nothing but rev limiter. i missed 4th. i was way ahead of my self. hahahah.

4th pass. i quickly got in line and this was the last pass we were aloud to make for the night. and it was horrible. 10.7 and the car was braking up everywhere. i stayed in it because i didnt even care anymore. as i am going down the track i knew i had my chance and lost it. it is what it is at this point.

i have all my autoX and other drag passes on video from my girl recording and my helmet cam. i will get everyone made into one video and post it up. P.S. the girl friend is home safe. hehehe. but i was supper upset. there is always next time.

FYI you should give the other driver the courtesy of only lighting one light until he is pre-staged before fully staging..

Congrats on the new best time..You should install the EZ-SQUEEZE connectors from spoolinup and never have that issue again..

 

it is test and tune. i am not looking at what the other guy is doing. i get ready and wait. sometimes i am being waited on. if it was a real race then i would make sure the guy i am looking to beat is ready to race.

i have the spoolinup connectors. they worked great at 1st. now they fall off with hard acceleration. i am done using these things. i have extras and have replaced them multiple times. i am going back to stock connectors with the metal clips

If you thinking auto crossing is fun you should try road racing. I used to autox until I road raced and will never go back.

yea i like to keep it under 50mph. haha. i do not want to wreck my car or hurt someone else. i enjoyed this very much.
