Hey guys last fall when I took the car I launched off the two step at about 6500 with a slight slip and cut come low 1.7's consistently at the track. When I did this I was at 305/305 vd dynojet numbers. Now I'm at 415/420 on the same vd. The car pulls a lot harder and im worried that I am gonna have traction issues? Should I be worried or should it still hook up well? Tires are nitto 555 street radials. I know I will lower the tire pressure down some to help but am I proly going to have to lower the launch rpm?

I was able to cut mid to low 1.6s on beat all seasons couple years ago.. 2 step set at 6200.. 20psi front 22psi rear.. Car did 420/420 VD

 

What kind of times with those 60' ?

If you have traction issues then lowering the 2-step rpm should help.

 

I guess I need to launch on the street and see how bad the spin is. If it doesn't do mic there then the track and low tires should make it hook well

 

same power and on my 3rd pass with new nitto drags i cut a 1.60 and went 11.35@120 then got the boot for no cage LOL. just started to figure out the launching with the new tires

 

Hmm wonder why so much quicker with the same basic 60' between tires?

 

taller tire, different tune
