stock 8 turbo in the 11's!

Hey guys had my first run today on the Blevins e85 tune. I was overly impressed with the trap speed but upset with myself on the 60' haha.
The car went a best of 11.786 at 120.97 which i thought was an amazing trap speed for stock motor,o2 housing, turbo car. That is all in the tune!!!

However here is a list of my 60' times:

1.785 (11.78 pass)
1.964
2.164
2.200
2.090
1.757 (missed 2nd )

I ran 24psi in the front tires and 22 psi in the rears of nitto 555 street tires.
For my first two passes i had the two step set at 6k then lowered it to 5750 which didn't seem to change much.

at 300whp i turned alot of 1.70's so i know i can do it and i think seat time is going to help but does anyone have any suggestions on what kind of approach i can take to the 2 step and tire pressure? Basically it would spin through first and i tried both slipping and dumping. Ill try to load up some videos of the take off.

Aside from the take off the car pulled amazing! Definitely a believer in the Blevins tune! 121 in the 1/4 and 92 through the 1/8 exceeded my expectations on the car!!! Couldn't be happier with Adam's help setting up the car.

haha i don't know whether its driver or tire lol. I think it has 1.7's in it consistently but i need practice with this set up. Is the waterbox out of the question? I appreciate the compliment bro i want to go back soon and try to lower it.

Aside from tires, you could try switching to ECU-controlled boost and lowering the boost in first gear a little.

No, you can do it with the stock ECU using a Tephra ROM in Ecuflash. However you will need to get a 3 port boost solenoid and a 4 bar map sensor. Talk to your tuner. Most tuners are familiar with the Tephra ROMs and how to do gear-based boost.

Yeah definitely. A new 3 port EBCS and a 4-bar map sensor will run you about $100 each and they're real easy to install. Then you just need to see what your tuner would charge for a retune.

Consistency is achieved overtime. So don't worry about your 60's being a little screwy.

Slipping the clutch makes up for wheelspin, you just have to feel it. Try hitting your 2 step when the second light falls (yellow,YELLOW, green) and holding your clutch up a little bit before where it grabs before you launch. On my beat tires w/25psi i cut 1.6's all day after i got the technique down. Best of luck!

i go around it, back my rear tires over the water and do a quick burnout to clean/heat the tires up.. but i have drag radials, like AWD said, some more practice and you'll be nailing low 1.6x 60fts in no time
