12.90 Bolt on Evo 8

Recently got another Evo and after checking it all out I took it to the track to bust out some times. First run I dumped the clutch on the launch got a 1.8 60 and a 13.0 1/4 @ 105. Second run I slipped the clutch a little pulled a 1.82 60 and a 12.90 @ 104. Not bad for basic mods, would like to creep into the mid to low 12's with some more modding this year. Here's some videos.

Excuse my girlfriend asking why I wasn't doing a burnout lol...

Edit:
Mods are ETS FMIC, ETS UICP LICP, Evo IX turbo, Tune, Megan DP, TB exhaust, Aftermarket clutch (this one doesn't really hold the power too well)

Easy on the clutch dropping man Always do a controlled slip so you dont grenade your transfer case

12.90 isnt bad for a first time at the track with the car, but for your mods you could definitely be low 12's if not high 11's at 110ish give or take, likely give a few more mph. Check for boost leaks, somethings up. Your trap speed is a little low which makes me think your down on power by quite a bit, or maybe you need a retune. Are you on 93oct?

Did you miss any gears or anything while shifting??

I am on 93 the guy said the tune is on 15psi but the AEM boost gauge goes to 28 so I was going to get another gauge and check out a dyno just to get a baseline. But no missed gears or anything.

Ya thats odd, 15psi would explain the really low trap though. You're definitely down on power for sure somehow for your mods. 104 is barely faster than what a bone stock VIII can run.

I would agree on the need for a tune.

My old 8 with intake and turbo back and tune would run 12.8's and I am the worlds worst drag racer lol.
