Will NHRA tracks really turn me away for a Plastic Keyed Battery kill switch?

I've got the Kill switch from Pegasus... as recommended for SCCA racing.

I just now see that NHRA requires that the switch cannot be plastic or keyed. WTF?

Do you think I'll have problems at my local tracks with this? Portland International Raceway, Woodburn Dragstrip, Pacific Raceway, Mission Raceway?

I can see why they don't want a plastic keyed kill switch, but will they really turn me away?

I relocated batteyr to the trunk and have not installed my switch yet. Ive been teched 3 times already and have not even been asked about the batteyr not being under the hood. I dont pop my trunk unless asked when I tech and havent been asked too yet. So basicly if they dont say anything about it dont bring it up to them.

Rt are you set on a plastic switch ? i kno you thoroughly think everything thru any reason you would rather go thru the hassel of running a plasic one when you can just use a metal one.

I was excited about the fact that I can remove the handle from the car and put my license plate over it...so people don't mess with it.

Then I went onto the push rod setup...

and now I'm on the T1 Race kill switch. Need to call Tony Monday.

i've had the talon kill switch on my evo for almost 2 years and have never had an issue with someone turning it off besides when my sister comes to visit she thinks its funny. I've parked at malls, casinos, schools, stadiums in philladelphia, etc.. and no problems with anyone touching it, plus you can unscrew the handle and only put it on when at the track if wanted.

And the tracks near me always notice i dont have a battery under the hood and ask if i have a switch and test it out as well.

Interesting that moroso one lOoks to be a good option for removing it. I bought the t1 kit and have a good idea to make it disappear.

I've had people mess with my old turbo neon... And I do it to friends who have them exposed. I'd rather not display that I race my car. It's attracts the wrong kind of attention.

I had one of those plastic removable ones on my Talon and was told it didn't pass NHRA tech. They said if I wreck it could easily break off or fall out, which in all reality makes sense.
