want EVO badd !! low to mid 12's ??

Hi guys,

I currently have an Infiniti G37 sedan,2013.

i just leased it, and cars pretty quick. Its a very nice car for the amount I'm leasing it for $350 month.

I used to have a 94 supercharged civic awhile back, and car had about 280whp, and weight 2200 lbs. best time in it was 12.1 @ 112pm on baby slicks. I really love power and quick cars. I love turbo cars and really have liked the EVo's for a long time. I never really looked into them much, but just got back onto this site.

I have a couple questions :

are the 2010-2013 models different in motors etc ??
I want an automatic so i'd probably have to get the MR model.
The MR & GSR are pretty quick from factory, this is obvious, but my questions are :

can i get a 2012-2013 Mr Auto and upgrade Intercooler, piping, intake, exhaust, turbo etc, and get into the low 12's reliably ?

whats needed minimally to get into the 12's reliabily ?
and what cost is involved, give or take ?

and whats involved with even more power, Turbo swap etc ??
and cost ?

sorry for the randomness of the entire topic, but I'd be here all nite actually writing all I think etc.

I know its a braod spectrum on alot of things involved, parts , tune, etc conditions, tires, etc., but you guys get what im saying, just if you have generalization of stuff needed to have reliable quick *** daily driver. im pretty sure there are hundereds of guys here hitting 350-400whp without a hiccup.

thanks in advanced for any replies, and once again , sorry for the randomness and blabbering.

thanks guys,

Chris

P.S. never owned a turbo car, and im a Turbo guru, go figure.

I had a g37, its not even close to compare, other than the 4 doors.
n/a v6 with no bottom end power that you have to wind the %hit out of it to get any power,vs high torque all bottom end with less power at redline.
Unless you tune it to get rid of that on the top end flat spot, was the 1st thing I did.
g37 is a luxury car with some performance.
The EVO is all performance & all business, just a tune the car is an animal.
the g37 took 4k in mods to get 60hp.

yeah, i've always liked the evos, even when i had my honda. I'm older now 39, so i wanted a car thats got some power and luxury. thats why i just leased the G37, couldnt pass it up, $1k down, and $350 month/36 months,15k miles yr.

The Evo is pretty badass, but how is the interior, i know its not luxurious, but is it all sport or pretty damn nice/etc.

What exactly can i do to get a low 12 sec evo ? and which evo ? 2010-2013 ? and the only auto is MR right ?

my G is pretty nice, it does 0-60 in 5 seconds flat, pretty quick for a 3650lb luxury sedan

But I still have the drive to have a monster, like the evo that can produce 350-400 whp and all wheel drive must launch like a biitch !!!

Maybe I'll go drive one at the dealer to get a feel of how the car is.

how much and whats involved with a 350-400 whp car ?

also , is the tranny/ clutch ok with this whp ? i dont wanna get too involved with expenses, and then reliability

thanks guys

also, edited ...... just noticed, my profile shows my old 350z, haaaaa
it was a 2003, damn man, havnt been here(evo site) in 10 yrs, holy crap, lol

I'm not sure how long ago you got your g.
In my area 2012 with tech & nav package was only 268 mo. No money down for 18 months, so you can't go wrong for those prices, it's the best value for leading in that type of price range.
400 whp on stock block/trans is np. Have seen upwards of 500+ with sst trans.
Torque limit on the sst is around 350-375 without the clutches slipping. There are upgrades available if you wanted to up to 600hp.
The evo is crazy, try it with a 1 foot roll out.
You don't even need the launch control.
Fmic/Upper / lower piping for ic,down pipe, cat back with HFCs /tune you'll be around where you wanna be.

The 5 sec to 60 you mention the sedan is quick, compared to most sedans but a stock evo will smash it.
Bone stock.
Stock coupe put down 278whp

had stillen gen 3 intakes/fi HFCs / fi cat back/ stillen headers/uprev tune. 305whp Thought it was quick, then took it up a notch added a 100 shot of nitrous.
Even tried a 150 shot, but backed it down didn't trust the tune.

With all thoose mods.406whp/390wtq
Ran a 335 with only a juicebox tune, got walked bad.
Only then,to get demolished by a ix with just a cai/car back/tune.
Yes I know the evo ix was about 400lbs less, my g tipped at 3668 lbs. without my chubby self add another 200lbs.
Was never so humbled, all that work to get walked like I was in a dodge omni.
Only car I took that was respectful , with that set up was a 2010 camaro ss automatic.
Have owned Infiniti since 03.
I was a huge fan of the 37, before I did the nitrous work was gonna do the 800hp 4.5 stroker from gtm. Until I found out it was 30k for the block.
Then my back up was
build the 3.7 and ad a single precision turbo rated to 700hp.
7k plus labor & transport.
Have seen alot of high hp cars on here, not spending as much as the car cost. Plus evo is a 12 on the fun factor on a scale of 1-10. It handles like no other.

what would those mods you mentioned cost for the evo, and what manufacturer/company has good parts etc, im clueless on evo stuff.

what is the evo 0-60 stock, i thought it was around 5 seconds ?

the thing i love about the evo's is, they are already turbo'd, so minimal upgrades/maxx upgrades yield great results.

its hard to tell in some videos online, how qwk the evo is, because theyre AWD, and power is real linear.
I've seen the AMS evo, etc, and some crazy fast 900-1110 AWHP evos, those effin things are just amazing man.

The AMS GTR made my infiniti feel like a corolla, after seeing it on youtube, thing has like 1400 hp, AWD, efffin nutty !!!

yeah i ve seen alot of GTM videos online for their superchargers, turbos, etc, but like you said, theres just too much money involved without great results,15k will get me a turbo, etc, and prob 20k all said and done.
Evo's seem like they can get into the mid 12's on about $3-4k ??

what setup you got ?

It's a lot faster than the 5 secs in mags.
Put the car in a-sport mode & hit the gas, it is way quicker.
A ecu tek flash I got 25whp 14wtq from just a tune with a k & n drop in filter.
Swap the fmic pipping down pipe exhaust with a flash.
You will be amazed, just get that boost up.

More like 11s. And that is faster than a speeding ticket.
Or get you one, depends.
Just do the upgrades you'll see.
Get a list together,

Search the vendors on here.
It's a who's who of the evo world.
There's Alot of stuff that I have no clue about yet.

Perrin/grimmspeed/Cobb/ets/turbotrix/ ams etc .,

intake, turbo-back, flash.... boom 12's. most can do it with a k&n drop-in and a flash.
