Ya the 60-130 run is the most popular especially with the 6speedonline.com crowd. I wish I had NLTS enabled when I did my 60-130 VBOX runs, I did a 6.3 and I was shifting slow as poop granny style lol off the throttle and everything. I was shooting for a 5.9 because the vbox time of an 09 or 08 GSXR1000 stock was 5.9 based off the vbox database on NAGTROC. Im pretty confident since I have NLTS enabled on my car I could manage a 5.5 60-130 time. I'll be doing so again in spring.
Perhaps Ill check with the moderators if they'd be opposed to a vbox thread since they are against street racing threads, idk if theyd be against a vbox thread.

Those are some rather impressive 60-130 times. Looking foward to seeing your new times come spring . Does anyone know what a stock evo 8 or 9 does 60-130, it would be interesting to see the drastic difference from a 700whp car.

Also i just wanted to say Thanx to everyone with their replies. All the haters and grammar ***** must be still be sleeping in there mom's basement.
I looked at some logs from my last time at the track and it looks like I'm somewhere between 3.5 - 4.1 seconds with the mods in my sig. FWIW, I usually hit around 370/370 on Virtual Dyno.
I stand corrected actually, the 60-130 of the GSXR1000 I mentioned that did 5.9 was actually a bolt on GSXR1000. It doesnt mention exact mods though.
I think a stock evo's 60-130 should be somwhere around 12 seconds. NAGTROC has a 2012 Mustang GT with exhaust and tune at 12.42 for its 60-130 time.

Ya, when and/or if I get time tonight Ill do some digging and see if there is any recorded times for a stock evo 8/9 and Xs in the 60-130mph charge. I will note if its an MR or not as well. This thread could turn into a nice piece of reference for people.
And yes that was me patting myself on the back.

I'm not trying to disagree but don't stock evo 8 run low 13's trapping at about 100 mph or so, then take into account even a 4.5 sec 0-60 and add 12 sec to get to 130 mph the total would be about 16-17 sec. Given the fact that the evo 8 takes about 13 sec or so to hit 100 it would only have 4 sec to go from 100-130 and thats flying. I would really like to see if any performance mags have any 60-130 results for stock evo's
So you'd start at 10 or 20 or 30 mph, and the VBOX begins counting once the system records 60mph and it stops counting at 130mph. All the other figures you mentioned are irrelevant for a 60 to 130 run.
I mean it could take closer to 15 seconds in all seriousness, I take it a mustang gt with boltons should run a good deal faster in the upper speed range than a bone stock evo. So yea its definitely not 4 seconds 100 to 130 lol
All that aside, the 60-130 runs are calculated rolling, not stopped 0-130.

Svendiesel I know those are recorded on a roll and that you can't just plug in numbers, I was just stating that it seemed just a little fast. Also if you were to perform 60-130 run on a stock evo, I think that we would agree that it should start in 3rd gear but the problem with the evo is its short gearing. The evo would require you to shift into 5th gear, thats 2 shifts versus many cars that only need one. Then again people who know how to shift fast can probably shift in about .2-.3 sec. It may have been a while ago but I do remember my stock evo would fall on its face above 100 mph, not its strong suit. Well anyways everythings cool and I wasn't trying to be contraversal.
No I got you lol I wasnt trying to seem like a dick. When I did my run I started at the top of 1st I believe just to be in the upper RPM registry. Funny thing was when I did the first run, I had to raise my rev limiter a bit because on my 24.7in tall tires I hit 129.3 or something stupid lol I just missed hitting 130 and I didnt want to have to shift to 5th.

To the guy who mentioned the times for 480whp. I am gonna be putting down just above 500whp and ~400tq down this spring. I run 245 ventus evos for tires. Just wondering if I'm gonna get tire spin when the turbo spools up in what gears. On dry pavement around say 70degrees. I know there's other variables but in general is there gonna be Lot of wheel spin.?
Id be willing to say you'll get some spin in 1st with likely none in 2nd. Depending how well you feed the clutch in from a stop off the 2step it may not spin at all, but Id say it likely will.

I remember when the evo 8 first came out "back in the day" and some shop got serious power outta one. Like 800-1000 whp. The driver of it said while driving on the interstate he could drop to 4th go Wot and smoke all four. He said the looks on other drivers faces was priceless. Now that got me laughing and drooling at the same time. All this is way off topic but im bored.
More 0-60 times please
will spin 255 star specs through first two gears easy...alittle in beggining of third, but not bad...on 275 r comps it will spin first and alittle in second...no spin third...at 500 whp and 400 wtq...you will have to aim it straight before putting your foot down...lol... practice and a sub 3 second 0-60 is doable with that power...i would suggest as big a tire as you can fit (im fender rolled)...fast shifting is a must...alittle weight reduction would help as well...P.S. will spin first two gears with roll ons...leaving 4 tire marks on tarmac is priceless fun..it probably would take 550-600 whp to spin 3 and 4th...others may chime in as im not there yet...
