0-60 times

I've always wondered with the awds and two step now what people have run or seen run for 0-60 mph times. Now i know this all depends on alot. Track or street, wheel setup, reaction, power etc... But if anyone wants to write up what they have done or seen along with the setup and conditions I figured it would be nice to see what people are running it in.
Peace.

Que the grammar ***** and critiques. Lol

Phone apps say 2.7-3.1 seconds street tires...depending on shift...on race tires 2.3-2.5 range...480 whp...spinning through first two gears...dont know how accurate app is but its definately feels close to that...faster than new gtr we tested on same app...question is how fast or good you are at shifting....

I think the easiest way to measure 0-60 times would be through the use of EvoScan. You would see where you are bouncing off of the stationary rev limiter and then subtract the amount of from moving from the rev limiter to the correct RPM in 2nd gear to get to 60mph.

I once had this exact same thought so I like where your head is I never got around to actually doing it though because I dont launch my car so I dont think Ill have a very impressive 0-60.

In reality its just a magazine measurement and really not important but hey its not like I dont look at 0-60 times and think nothing of them.

Well ill be at the 500whp mark or higher this spring keeping TQ low around 400tq. If i could break into the 3 second mark I'd be happy but the 2 second mark would just be nuts. In two years tho I'm selling my evo and buying a gtr. Ill miss my evo but ill have more than enough $ to buy a cheap $60k gtr.lol. My gf makes a great salary and im not far behind and she loves gtrs so she told me to sell my evo and buy a gtr and she will take care of our mortgage payments and what not. Perks of not having any kids. She's a head nurse at big hospital

I too believe 60 times don't really mean much. Hell here in WI (filled with hicks) there's guys with diesel trucks that have alot of TQ that prolly run some mean 0-60 times but after that they are nothin but a pooch. Some of them.

But its still cool to hear fast times for some reason. I remember when I was young it was all about 0-60 times and top speed. Now i could car less about top speed. If my car maxed out at 150mph but ran a 9sec 1/4 I'd be one happy camper. But 60 times are still cool to me. Hence me starting this stupid thread. Lol

I don't think its a stupid thread, I think it would be interesting to see some times for some of these real high hp evos out there. You can always buy a v-box to find out and whats cool is you can do all kinds acceleration tests like 60-130, 0-100, etc. The v-box is what alot of the performance magazines use to get all there performance #'s for acceleration.

Ya i shouldve wrote that different. More like what others mite consider stupid. But ya id love to what my friends 700whp evo would run. Hes tredding 265s for tires so tire spin will still be present but not as bad depending on conditions of course.

Based on an evoscan log I took, from a dead stop on Continental DWS 245's in 75 degree temps, my 0-60 was 2.9 seconds spinning terribly. I figure it could be cut down a good half second without spinning/if I was on my hoosiers and they were hot. My car made a best of just over 700whp and 610wtq.

I want to try to find that log now lol.

I think a "rolling starts" thread would be pretty nice, such as people comparing pulls starting at a specific MPH and ending at a specific MPH.

100% yes. Its smooth, its quiet (til the wastegate opens at WOT lol) and very comfortable. My friend loves being in my evo more than his because its just as tame when driven tamely except its 2x the power when you put your foot down.

The clutch is noisy (exedy triple HR) and I don't have AC any more, but I hate AC and never use it. I always have the windows down when its nice out. Still has heat though and havent removed anything from the interior. Car weighs 3030 without me.

Ya the 60-130 run is the most popular especially with the 6speedonline.com crowd. I wish I had NLTS enabled when I did my 60-130 VBOX runs, I did a 6.3 and I was shifting slow as poop granny style lol off the throttle and everything. I was shooting for a 5.9 because the vbox time of an 09 or 08 GSXR1000 stock was 5.9 based off the vbox database on NAGTROC. Im pretty confident since I have NLTS enabled on my car I could manage a 5.5 60-130 time. I'll be doing so again in spring.

Perhaps Ill check with the moderators if they'd be opposed to a vbox thread since they are against street racing threads, idk if theyd be against a vbox thread.

I wish I could do the 60-130 times but my personal stopping point is between 80-85mph. I was thinking something along the lines of like a 1st-3rd or 2nd-3rd
