I believe Tyler had a few passes that beat Most-Wanted's old MPH record as well,with slower E.T's than his record pass. Tyler never hit 134 though.

 

Ahhh, completely forgot Jenks's old car & the new owner trapping 134mph. I remember reading that thread now...

I still wish Tyler tried a couple more times for that 9 sec pass. So close!

 

It definitely had the ability to do it. He cut a 1.41 60' that day before the turbo died but he had a mis-shift on that run. That was the pass that got away lol. One more day with the stock turbo would have been all he needed. That's racing though lol.

 

Damn, stock turbo list was weak this year! I'll be playing around on this list with my RS for a little while next year, we'll see how that goes...

Well went out and made 10 passes today...too much tire spin so my ETs werent great but I made some ideal shifts in the powerband and this stock injector stock manifold and stock turbo gasser went 120.5mph! I think that bumps me up a spot....see attachment.

120.5 trap is definitely impressive on stock long block, turbo & 93...especially with an MR. So what gear/rpm are you going through the traps? I am interested since I used to have an MR...

it is an MR, but its a 5 speed swap; i blew my 6 speed last year. 4th gear and very high rpms lol. my ET sucks because i cant 1-2 shift for crap....and my tires are blowing loose

agreed. nice 60 and ET...damn, how are you doing that on street tires man....they must be super fresh and almost a drag tire or something! my continental all seasons blow loose like crazy...

 

Thanks guys, they are 255/35/18 toyo proxies r1r. They are pretty old and at the end of their tread life. I just wipe the tires off before getting in the lane and then do a quick spin after the water box to make sure they are clean. That run was fresh off the street after driving to the track 1 hour.

 

Street warrior! Drive to and from the track ftw. Nice driving again man. U need to teach me lol I can do 1.68-1.75 60s all day on my poop tires...I think I need to lower my 2step to improve that. But my 1-2 still sucks *****.....u no lift?

Well I keep chippin away....20 some degrees and freezing at island last night and I was able to cut a 1.63 60ft on beat all seasons lol clutch got on that pass and I missed my 11.9x....two other best ETs of the night are new bests for my car...almost there, couple more track days to get the 11!

whats your two step set at? are you doing a burnout to heat/clean the tires off a bit?

i always tried to short shift into 2nd a little early.. like 6500-6700, just to keep that momentum going. with that MPH you should be bottom 11s ! you'll get it

also whats your tire pressure set at? i've had good luck with 22 in the rear and 24psi in the front. my stwo step was set at 6100rpms.. you might have to go a little lower since its getting pretty chilly out
