First time at the track....

Took the evo out to the local track friday night for the first time. This was my second time launching this car and the first trip ever to the track in an AWD car. DA was 2100-2300 all night with a nasty 90-100% humidity. So im hoping to see some better numbers with better air and a little more seat time.

1st Run: 12.49@115.22 2.0 60' (Rolling out from 2800rpm)
2nd Run: 12.20@111.20 ?.? 60' (right lane 60 timers were fubar, launching off the 5500rpm 2step, tried to shift into 5th instead of running out 4th)
3rd Run: 12.38@115.68 1.9 60' (launching off the 2step and spinning)

Quality runs, right where you need to be with the stock turbo. You can get deeper into the 11's with more mods of course but basically 11.7 on Pump is attainable.

Set the 2 step to 6k, slip the clutch a little quicker and shift the car faster.. With that mph you could run like an 11.5-11.7 no problem

Should be much higher traps on E85, those are Stock Turbo Evo VIII times even with the 9.8 hot side (I ran those times myself with BPU only).

E85 should net you into the 118MPH range it's 105 octane plus much colder. Up the boost maybe?

Im already at 28 psi. Anything else that could be causing the issue? Also that same night a buddy went with me and he has basically the same car with the exception of his isn't an SE and has a sunroof. With his 2step at 6k he went 12.008 @ 115.XX. Im assuming the DA and humidity might have had something to do with the low traps?

Yeah, I have a feeling a stickier tire would help tremendously. Im currently on michelin pilot sport all seasons in a 235/45/17.

I dont NLS, and wont be until I get my trans built. Im just not comfortable doing it on my stock synchros. As far as holding boost I wasnt really paying attention to it, I believe after 5k it tapers off to about 22psi.

you need a 1.6 60 foot. Remember the better the ET generally the lower the trap. Lower yout 60 foot to 1.6 and youll be in the 11's.
