What xkpbreaker said! Sounds like you have plenty of power, what clutch are you running? If it is a strong aftermarket clutch go ahead and slip the clutch out at 4,500 RPM and you should get a mutch better 60' time and with a good 60' you can run that mid 12 1/4 you are wishing for

Yea, Im his brother, I went too. Only my 6th run down the track since Ive had my EVO. But Ouch. Tough night. Although granted it was 26 degrees when we raced. I ran a 13.30 @ 108.7MPH. That with a 2.23 60 foot!!! Couldnt hook up. My car was at about a 45 degree angle in 1st coming off the line. Running on stock clutch as well. I had my rpms at about 5500 and dropped it. Thats how i got my 12.9 last year with 50 less to the wheels. But the tires were just too cold and hard. Looked like a tough night altogether at Cecil last nite. I talked to some STI guys running 13.4 with full exhaust. Oh well, im not a pro drag guy and I go on my 1st Auto X track tomm, so im excited. Last night was frustrating but if it could warm up a little or I could turn into a pro drag racer my car is a 12.5 car easy. Not much beats me around here on the streets so Im happy. Just frustated. Were going to give it a shot next week though!!!

Yea, but to your guys defence, it didn't help that every hillbilly was breaking down on the track dumping oil and other fluids on the track. Your yellow Evo looked good. I was checking yours and Kevin? Im not good with names, his blue Evo.

Cecil is always like that. I plan to head up there when they start opening up on Wednesday nights.

They're usually so empty that you can hot-lap if you get there early enough.

nice...so the consensus with stock clutch is to slip it at 4500 rpms

then with aftermarket clutch slip it at 5500 rpms.

thanks
