Buschur stage 1 results

This is with a Buschur stage 1, stock clutch, full weight (no weight reduction at all except for what the exhaust gives), and close to a 3/4 tank of gas.

60'...1.787
330'...5.249
1/8...8.101
MPH...85.91
1000...10.571
1/4...12.648
MPH...109.09

The car definetly has a little more left in it. The track was slick and I was spinning most of the way through 1st. I can knock some more off of the 60' and probably get the car down in the 12.50 range.

For those that may not know, a bushur stage one consists of a 3in. turbo back exhaust, air filter, boost controller (set at 19-20), and an afc-2 with buschur settings.

That is an awesome MPH for those mods. Where are you located?

Nice launch and you may have the quickest Buschur Stage 1. At least the quickest I can remember. Those are very strong numbers for $1350 worth of mods.

With that trap speed, you can probably dip just below 12.50's.. I ran a 12.42 with the buschur stage 1.. I have to admit my boost was at 21psi and ran a little lean for my tastes on that level of boost and dropped it to 19.5psi and subsequently ran two 12.5x runs on another outing.

Its amazing how much can be found in this car with just a few mods..

Let me add something real quick.. Pick up a set of colder plugs.. you might get some miss under load with the stock plugs with the buschur stage1 in colder weather..

Yeah I might try that with the plugs. I might even give it a little more boost next time too. I am almost certain I can get at least a 12.50 out of it how it sits though. Like I said, the track was very slick. Nobody was hooking up good. Oh, by the way, Im located in Ohio.

Ya know.. yer 60' time isn't all that bad even with traction problems.. I think I ran about the same 60' time but made up for it with a slightly higher trap speed. I didn't do a bad-assed launch on the car, just enough to get the car out of the hole without slipping. Wait, you'll soon get the itch for stage 2, then 3, then 4.. etc.. I'm also in the Northeast.. my best run was in May of last year..

What type of plugs do you recomend? The stock ones with 1 range colder, or a different brand?

Malibujack I guess I do remember you ran a mid 12 last year. Your car also ran a 12.9 stock; I think you got the pick of the litter concerning Evo's.

And I agree that the quest for performance increases with each mod. As beer is the first step toward achoholism, a K&N filter is the first step toward being broke!

Nice numbers! BR stage 1? Are you sure. I thought these times were seen with the STage 3 or stage 4. Is this is true just imagine the time at stage 4 then?
