Brian's 12.24 Timeslip

Brian did a great job at the rock, beating most of the v8 cars. Annoucer was silent most of the night about brian's and drew's times. Watched alot of modified domestics run high 12s all night.
I've almost finished all the vids of brian and friend Drew - Modified eclipse, will post links when I'm done.

I think the biggest thing that helped me was the cool weather Friday night and a different track. The car was pulling so smooth and so hard in 4th gear friday night. I was hot lapping the car on the last three runs of the night and ran 118.18 mph, 118.7 and 118.4 mph. It had gotten cool and the car was running faster.

The track that I ran at before the cams, is supposedly up hill on the last 1/8 mile. I went yesterday to the track that I had run the 12.36 at without cams and I only ran 113.5 mph there. It was alot warmer too. I think with the stock intercooler, you need really cool weather to run the high trap speeds. With an upgraded intercooler I think you can run higher trap speeds with less dependency on the weather conditions. My shifting problem has gotten worse lately too. The faster you go, the faster you want to shift.

You can see all my runs uploaded so far at www.redlinepower.com . The 12.44 run is not uploaded yet though. It should be by the end of tonight.

12.33 @ 113.49 mph at Nam yesterday. My airflow was not near as high. The gas I was using yesterday was questionable. I think, with all things being equal, Nam is about 2 mph slower than the Rock. I was having terrible shifting problems yesterday also.

Rollaway: Thanks for the kind words.

What are you mods on your car, when you ran the 11.8 @ 119 mph?

Were you running consitent 11.9's or just put together one perfect run to get that time.

That night I ran the 12.24 that was on a 1.859 60' time. I also ran one time with a 1.688 60' time earlier that night. If I could get a good 60' time and the put together the perfect run, then I think I could have gotten that 11.99 I was looking for.

TURBODAWG... all I had was one run before I was kindly asked not to run anymore and I was pissed when I saw my trap speed and knew I would have easily had a mid 11 ET... it was with a 1.9 60ft but a 4.9 330ft... I had serious traction problems---my stock tires were completly bold.

My OS Giken push type clutch is very difficult to launch and for some people driving it may be a problem but I am real used to it and have no problems...with my Exedy I was able to pull 1.6 easy with a best of 1.62.. I think my best with this clutch is a high 1.7

Your 118mph trap speed could have easily brought you an 11.6-11.7.. so push your goal better than 11.99

my mods during that run was a Buschur Stage 4 with custom dynoflash--my current mods have changed a bit with a few parts changed to see how different setups work....I hope on getting mid 11s before I upgrade my turbo

I guess you need to have a roll cage to run in the 11's at that track. Down here, they are not so strict with that. 4.9 330 ft. is moving out. I was having pretty bad traction problems that night too. If I launched too high, no traction in 1st gear at all. I had to bog it slightly to get it to hook. I had rear wheel hop on one of the launches.

What is included in the Bushur stage 4?

I think it is about time to change to larger injectors. They have to be near 100% duty cycle now.
