Shiv's tuning sucks

Shiv's tuning sucks the doors off of an M3 E-46 from 80-140 on the I-5. The car has been transformed into a different beast. The M3 tried two or three times to show me his bumper but I flipped it on him in a big way. Also an Sti that had his stage one kit tested the Evo but Shiv told me I cheated cause i was on 100 oct and Nate dog was on his 91 map. Anyways all in good fun and Nathan's Sti looks awesome and was fast even on 91 oct. Took me for a cruise and I was impressed with the sick torque. Went at it from a semi roll and it was a good run to say the least. Perhaps from a dig he would of handed me my *** cause with all this new power spinning out of control in first gear was experienced tonight at the track and an Sti that ran a13.6 crushed me. Crazy night at the track to say the least. Before I start I just want everybody to know I have never drag raced at a strip in my life. I suck at best. However 1st run on stage 1+ i run a 12.9 with an 1.87 60 with my typical grind double clutch shift into 4th. Wow i am happy and ready to kick ***. I can taste a 12.5. Wrong 2nd run I spin all four tires in first and spin at the start of 2nd. Result 60 ft of 2.4 and a 13.5 1/8 mile was 87 mph and trap was 107and change all night. Next run sti grudges me and his best so far was 13.7 I think. So as i am staging I roll into the box and go over the 2nd beam and think that they will let me back up and try again. Wrong lights drop and I try and rev it and adjust. I started spinning sideways and almost hit the wall but corrected it in time by getting off the throttle. I knew my car had more power than his lightly modded Sti so i still tried to catch up. As I tried to reel him in( I was gaining on him) I hit the rev limiter in 3rd and it was game over. Sti trapped 97mph with a 13.6 all torque and i ran an abysmal 14.4 at 96 mph. Last race I decided to baby it off the line to avoid the out of control wall crunch. Resulted in a bogged 60 ft of 2.2, however an Evo won this race despite my 2.2 60ft . I ran a 13.3 at 107 and the Black Evo I raced ran a 12.7 at 107. His 60ft was in the high 1.8s. He had run a 12.4 on the same track on another day.He could drive better than my granny shifting ***. All in all it was a good experience and I want to thank Shiv for his patience and the great custom tune he did on my car. When and if I go again I will use the cat delete pipe and hopefully learn how to drive. My next mod is the driver mod. If I lose 50 pounds and learn how to drive the car has low 12s in it. Also there was a head wind in our face most of the night. My 1st/best run It was very hot 85+ and a decent amount of wind in our face. Sorry for not representing very well at the track but I did get a 12.9 and I can live with that for now. Who is this? I only got a 13.1 and it is Shiv's fault cause it has to be cause I know my driving abilities can't be the reason. Hint: He has two user names and he has a brother that traps lower and got into the 12s 1st. I suck at driving and did a 12.9 at 107 so Shiv must be doing something right. BTW Car Dynoed on Shivs dyno at 302 whp on 100 oct and 270 on 91. The P2 dynoed all over the place as the runs were inconsistent at best. 1st run dynoed 227 but next run was 210 than 215. After several runs I would say the p2 dynoed on average at 219. Not bad and if anybody is wondering about the P2 it is a good conservative flash and okay in my book. However, if you want a real fast car that can give a Z06 a run for the money Stage 1+ is the way to go. But if you suck at driving like me no matter how fast your car is you will lose to lesser cars in an embarrassing way. I suck but my friend in his 50th ani Vette couldn't get out of the low 14s. OUCH!He sucks more. OUT!

Ok Bro,
You made it into the 12s, so that will hold you over til next time. Glad you are happy with your new 1+. I too hate that head wind at Fontana! I couldn't follow your point about the brothers Huscroft5 and Evo8power. Care to explain?

Smog, My point was a 12.9 with a stage 1+ kinda sucks but I am not like STIkilla/Evo8powa who blamed his times on Shiv's Exedes mapping. My car is very powerful and if I learn how to launch it with all this power a low 12 is very possible.Shiv mad my car very fast but I suck at driving it ti its potential. BTW I still have not seen a Sti break into the 12s at that track. It sucks that i lost to one but sometimes the faster car in the wrong hands will lose. I wanted a rematch but i guess he got his Evo kill and was satisfied with the beating he put on me and left. BTW Due to fear of breaking something I refuse to practice launching this car on a regular basis. But i have learned that 4-5 thousand slip clutch rpm launches with stage 1+ and Kumo MX tires is spin city at that track. I need some advice on how to cut 1.7-1.8s with all this power.

Congrats on getting into the 12s.
302 whp on 100 gas is pretty good, especially on Shiv's dyno.

I met you at Shiv's place on Wed. and took my silver EVO
to Sears point that night.
Ran a best of 12.494@112 in 80+ degree weather. Only got
two runs.
You're right about the STIs. My brother's could only muster a 13.5@99 and another Stage 1 STI only ran a 13.1@103.
I'm sure w/ a little more practice you can get the car into low 12s.

Tom

Hi Tom,
You ran 112mph at Sears Pt. (which is up-hill) running the 91oct map? Just running at Sac will drop your times a couple of ticks. Add in some good race gas and then let 'er rip!

Hi Shiv,

The 12.4/112mph run was on the racemap at Sears Pt.

However, that's w/ an abused (over 30 runs) stock clutch and in really warm weather.

Taking than into consideration, I'm pretty happy.

An optimum run w/ a new Twin Disk might get me into high 11s-in Sac.

(You're absolutely correct about Sears Pt. It sucks!! It's set up like a run-away ramp off the Grapevine - UPHILL!!)

Later,

Tom

$$$

Parts and labor is about $2100, isn't it??

Unless some wonderful and reputable tuning shop located in Pleasanton would do a partial sponsorship?!

...and Shiv says: "You must be

Just kidding, keep up the good work.

I'm waiting on parts to fix the harness you broke.

Hey Kevin-- Your sig says 108.7mph traps with 330whp and 360odd lb-ft of torque? Hmmm....

Curious didn't he trap 108mph with his detuned off the shelf stage 1. Well Shiv he was right your product sucked and his car is so much faster and the proof is the almost identical trap speeds.HA HA!BTW Shiv thanx for the great tune! OUT!

Yes, I recall him trapping the same with the XEDE running a detuned map and less mods. But hey, his dyno sheet now says 330whp so I guess that is all that matters

Cheers,
shiv
