All Stock Evo 1/8th mile....

Finally got my evo to the track this past weekend the best time i could pull in my all stock evo was a 9.06 @ 78.xx mph... I felt like i broke into the 8's another run but the timing malfunctioned and didnt post my time. Anyway this is on my stock slipping buning stinking *** clutch.... Let me know about some stock 1/8th mile times... im interested how far off i am.

Were you getting 2.2 60' times??

you shoulda been into 8.8's stock.

usually helps to see a whole time slip when you want people to help you with your times!!

it will come with practice though!!!

yeah i kept getting caught sleeping at the tree... Really this tree was ****ed up instead of the Pre Stage, Stage, Then we go 3 2 1 and you go it was Pre Stage, Stage , 1 , Go..... It was fairly hard to call.... It was a little open import event as well people kept messing up my stages by staging before the last race was over etc etc... there is a ton of excuses i guess as well as me suspecting a boost leak. But Ill see next time i go. Im gonna try to attend an open event at Rockingham Dragway. (1/4 mile) and a NHRA location. Also i havent been to a drag strip in like 5 years ontop of everything else.... Need New Clutch and More practice... The stocker is still holding pretty well its just way to easy to smoke the clutch.....

No Slips. It was actually just a Import Car show at a Drag Strip with open track after the show.... And yeah my 60 ft times were fairly high they were more around 2 sec and im questionable about this tracks timing also......

well once you get the launch down you'll be good to go.

also you gotta remember that elevation/temps/wind will affect your times also.

you coud start by lookin that up to make sure you are comparing your times fairly.

it's quite unfair to compare someone at 4,000 ft and some one at sea level cause thats almost a corrected .4 handicap for the elevation.

also you might wanna ask around to see what kinda of "freebie mods" there are for your car. theres always little tricks you can do at the track that are free and can help speed up a stock car.

actually i had about a 5 gusting to 10 head wind....... im interested to know if this would drastically affect my time... Also i wasnt totally accurate about my car. Im questionable if the intake i installed slowed it down... I got the K&N Typhoon intake i love the sound but i sorta feel i took a performance hit with it. I hate to take of a piece that cost as much as it does to go back stock. not to mention to do it it requires alot of reverse engineering lol.......

9.06 (1/8) equates to a 14.22 est. (1/4). For comparison, I ran an 8.41 at 82.56 mph in the 1/8 completely stock (13.185 1/4). Elevation, temp, and humidity all play a role in your performance.

perhaps i need to take a look at a few things such as a boost leak issue perhaps driving technique.... perhaps alot of things i guess..... .6 is quite a huge gap.... I dont go to the drag strip often and this was my first trip in this car.... i guess maybe i need to unload all the junk i had in it #1 that = about 50lbs or better.... then i need to take a look at my launches i see that being my major issue with around 2 second 60ft times.... honestly im not a drag enthusiast so that may be another problem here.......

Leaking hose!!!!! o yeah it appears that my up pipe was waaaaaaaay loose from way back when i installed my intake... I tightened all connections up now its holding 2lbs more boost to redline.... i imagine that could have easily been the difference!
