13 second N/A celica vids....

finally got em posted. I didnt have any of the evo but I do have the one of the wrx that was pitting next to us. lol

I'm one of the fastest N/A celicas so I thought I'd share the vids here even though it's not that impressive compared to an evo. lol

Hey Lucky,
Thanks for posting. I have a couple of observations.
1. Your ftp site rocks. Very fast downloads. Feel free to hook us evo guys up with your good download site.
2. You should study up on Vishnu on this forum as he plans on being one of the first to buy the new Lotus Ellise which will feature your celica motor and trans.
3. You should buy the new MR or RS Evo and point your Celica experience towards something with even greater potential.

if I could afford it you better bet I'd own one. lol I experienced my first AWD launch as a passenger not to long ago in a 12 second wrx that pulls 1.6 60's all day. I have wanted to change ever since. lol

I'm def gonna be checkin up on their stuff. the only thing that worries me is that the elise will have a lotus ecu and not a toyota one. So any electronincs would not be a direct swap. Cams however would be very nice. might be able to make power over 9K rpms.

thanx again for the help!
==================================

thats my server I host the vids on. if you have stuff you need hosted PM me and I'll give you the email address so I can host em.

That's pretty quick for a NA Celica, what are your mods?

that was a cobb stage 1 wrx - but a noob driver. good driver I would not have beat by too much.

My mods -

AEM CAI
Apexi Power FC
15" Rota Subzeros
BFG g-force drag radials
weight reduction

my new ecu hasnt been dyno tuned yet. we simply butt dynoed it. lol we'll be getting it on a dyno over the next week.
I should be around 13.5's once I tune it right. it's got the power, I just couldnt hook up.

congrats on beating a wrx, so the power fc and the intake took almost two seconds of your time?, i know the stock celicas are mid 15's, i thought you did an engine swap lol

I will be getting a Lotus Elise in a few months, and there has been a lot of discussion about the tunability of the 2ZZ-Ge engine. I know that in the elise application, there is a new engine management system that gets an extra 10 hp, but from your experience, how much can be gained from the power FC and intake/exhaust? I was hoping to stay the NA route with the Elise and get around 215 hp, or in essence, gaine about 25 from the 190 that the factory claims.

I am familiar with the newcelica.org, and it seems that this should be possible, give 93 octane gas, and a god tune. I was curious about your thought. Thanks for the information!

on newcelica I am 00silvergts6spd

100% stock including spare I ran 14.7 with a low 2.2 60' so it wasnt that much of a jump. lol gutted and stock motor I ran 14.4.

dr's and intake I was 13.9 and power fc I did the 13.7 with a crappy tune.
==================

the elise has better gearing and a lil different ecu so I don't know if the standard ECU harness is going to be used. so the pfc may not even work until it's released specificaly for the elise.

I don't think the elise will see 225 whp N/A without cams and head work or raised compression.

if you take away the elise ecu you will basically have the same 2zz we have in which case you'll be looking at around 172 whp with basic tuning and I/E (thats what I dynoed 3 days ago) but we are quite confident we can pull almost 190 whp with 100 octane and some good tuning time put in. I don't forsee going too far into the 200's though even with header and pulley. but with the weight of the elise it really wont matter. stock should be low 13's easy.

with power fc, raised compression, 100 octane, I/H/E valves/springs, PNP new TB. you might make it in the 225whp range and be able to keep power up to 9500 rpms. piper cams is working on cams for the elise but no word yet if they are going to actually release them.

this is just a best guess scenario since since nobody with a celica has gone that far and anyone who has done most of those mods has not reached anywhere near that whp mark. but if it can be done on an N/A car you better bet I'll be one of the ones trying it. lol we're gonna try to hit 12's with less than 200 whp. If I do then for sure the new elise's should also.

good luck and nice choice! lol

hey whats up man. i used to own celica, loved the sound of lift with kazuma exhaust.. your car is fast as hell. my celica (GTS 6spd) did 15.2 stock, yours did 13.9 with just intake and drag radicals. good job. gonna check newcelica.org more often.

I did 14.7 stock. since we figured out how to tune the power fc to actually make a lot of power you will be seeing a lot more celicas running fast times. theres 2 catching up to me w/full interior. (and a lot more mods) lol

I wouldnt be surprised to see a N/A celica hit 12's this year.
