Englishtown 4/24 Shootout Results!

Congratulations to all the competitor’s at Englishtown today! Lots of Evo's. As soon as I got off the NJ turnpike, ran into a line of 5 Evo's paying tolls. I hadn’t seen 1 in 6 months!

Big Al put down an 11.215 at 128! And won the Evo head to head. Which I believe maintains his fastest USDM VIII record. Last year most Evo's where stock and very few ran in the 12's. Today I saw many Evo's hitting the 12's with good traps.

The fastest DSM pass I saw was a 90 or 91 Talon with a 10.3 something and I can't remember the trap, but is was fast! Post your times here if you ran and your stories if you where a spectator.

today was amazing. i've never seen so many evo's before.

Al's pass was just plain sick. That much i will say! He's definitely done some serious work to his car since i last saw it! Seems he's going for semi race car (gutted interior)

The red Evo from Ultimate Racing was there too. (Jersey plates?) their car impressed the crap out of me. 11.6@125 if i recall with full interior and stock tires. kicked off because he didn't have a cage!

Pruven's race car broke a clutch or something? too bad, it looked promising.

aside from that, A LOT of evo's in the 12's! i didn't race my evo today...stupid POS stock clutch!

The EVO 5 was badass. IT ran 12 Flat stock turbo. Major mods on his car was an autronic and 35 shot NOS.

I ran a 12.6 @110MPH, 1.8 60 foots, stock clutch, I need a better one, not that it is slipping from wear, but seriously cannot hold my power any more.

Yeah, that was me. Qualified with an 11.9 at 122, then ran 11.6 @ 125.5 in the 1st round of eliminations. Got kicked out after that, with no warning. They said it was because I didn't have a cage. That totally sucked. Who really wants a full cage in a 4 door daily driver?

Was having tranny problems all day. Locks out of gear at high rpm. Thanks to Gil (superz) for his help with the clutch master cylinder, which helped a bit.

This was the first time I ran the car with the new Ultimate Racing blow through mass air flow meter. Car ran so smooth, and makes more linear power than with the stock mass air flow meter. This one is a part of the upper IC pipe, so it's more accurate. Also, it works real well with VTA blow off valves. No more weird idle/stalling. It should be on their site. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade.

Thanks for everyone that helped out. Congrats to Al for winning the whole thing

Incognito , I have the same tranny issues at high rpms. Mass air flow meter sounds like a good upgrade. I will look into that mod if it helps smooth things out with my vta bov.

EVOMIZ: Woa! 12.2 w/ Exhaust, Intake, Boost Controller and EMS. You will easily be in the 11's with Cams and a frontmount.

Incognito: That's a neat setup, a lot of Supra's run the MAS on the IC pipe. Eliminates the intake restriction.

Sean Ivey went 10.3 @ 142 in his 92 talon. That was the best time of the day.

Damn. That AEM really woke up your MPH. You're about 3-4 MPH faster than anyone with similar bolt-ons with a piggyback.

i will be getting cams next and then the clutch when it dies.
My buddy ron has the same setup as me but he has a clutch and 272 cams and he runs 11.70 @ 117mph

these cars are sick

i had a 11 sec talon with way more work and my evo is about to be faster
