Gus Mahon did the original modification.
I have done it to 4 blow off valves, and it works. You simply need a switch that will turn on at wide open throttle. Use a solenoid that switches on at WOT. Use that solenoid to feed the port you just added to the blow off valve pre-throttle-body boost at part throttle, and vent the port to atmosphere at WOT. The BOV will vent normally without surge at part throttle, but will seal perfectly at WOT. This solenoid can also be applied to other aftermarket BOVs that have two ports.
You can continue to search for the BOV holy grail, or you can switch to an active solution, which just works. If you start selling it, though, you have to attribute the mod to Gus Mahon, who was a great guy, and a good friend. RIP. Not nearly as salty as the DSM guys on the internet. Or maybe he was saltier. I'm not sure.
