Quickest and fastest Vishnu 1+ ???
Just got back from Sacramento Raceway. Bettered my old 12.39@113.1.
New best slip of the night follows:
60ft 1.752
5.080
1/8 7.840
88.374mph
10.201
1/4 12.185
114.677mph
The run was made on c16 racemap.
The car currently has the following upgrades:
Custom turboback w/out cat
HKS 272/272
Camgears
Xede/Xedeflash
Exedy twin plate
Everything else is stock including: injectors,head,intake/exhaust manifolds, turbo,FMIC,intercooler piping.
No excessive weight reductions except spare tire and jack.
All credit for a reliable and powerful tune goes to Shiv and the Vishnu crew.
They did a great job!!
BTW on that best run I smoked a R33 Skyline. Oh baby what a feeling.

Hey, dude congrats. I just got on line to see if you did it(12.1 or better) and I noticed you were on and I pmed you. If you could pull a sub 1.7 60ft 11.99 is possible but 12 flat more likely. Great mph and I guess you are the new stage 1+ king that posts. Got my et beat and hammered Smogs mph.Oh well I owned part of the crown for a lil while. How you like the clutch? Was it different launching and did it seem to hold power better in the low gears.I think I might be able to get close to your Et this Sat with a great 60ft but that mph is not going to happen in my car. You and Smog always seem to trap a lil higher than me no matter where I shift. Cars are a hair stronger but I am still happy with my cars performance. Thanx Shiv for working so deligently around the knock on my knockaholic Evo. Look for a 12.1 this cool weekend from me Evotom but 114mph I think not. Maybe 112mph. And again congrats on the great run..
Evotomig,
I hate you! Now I have to go out and beat up on my poor car again at Carlsbad to try to top you! We'll see what is left in my stock clutch I guess. One little thingy caught my attention though: what do you mean by "custom exhaust?" What is different about yours compared to a Signature T-back exhaust with race pipe?
Congratulations bro! That is incredibly fast for such a low level of mods.

Great Job Tom! The clutch upgrade certainly helped
As for additional mods to get you into the 11s, we can try an IC upgrade, upper/lower IC pipes, bumper reinforcement removal, DNP tubular header, etc,..
Smog, IE, and the other drag racing Stg 1+ guys--- The new benchmark has been set. And it's by a northern californian!

One good 60ft and I am there. Call the TCPS(tranfer case protection services) because a lil abuse will be needed to get a low 1.7 or high 1.6. My mph tells me I need a great 60ft to compete but you are going down Evotom. Smog Evotom has a custom made straight thru exhaust. Hardly any bends at all. It is a sweet piece and saved him a couple of bucks to say the least. Also I think he did have a lil secret up his sleeve. I have a feeling he had to drive there by himself. No seats. I don't know but he did mention tweaking. Unless he is a drug addict some car tweaking might have gone on to help a lil. I've got an idea Smog I will pm you and see what you think. BTW This competition is all in fun and congrats to Evotom as he is a cool guy but you are still going down. Here is my gangsta impersonation.Southsiiide Cal Evo Gangsta 1320s! JK Jk
Thanks guys for all the kind words; and it's on Soutern Cali !@!!
The clutch is holding up real well, the throws seem to be quicker and more precise.
As far as the launching method, a dropping the clutch on my last run resulted in terrible wheelhop; therefore I'm sticking to a bit of slip.
The exhaust, as IE EVO mentioned, is a bunch of mandrel bends w/ a giant Magnaflow. (heavy and not stainless but very straigh)
The tweaking I was referring to was Shiv tweaking of the racemap which resulted in 4whp gain w/ 2lbs less boost and a smoother power curve. The poor stock turbo is waaay maxed out though-compressor surge heaven.

Hiya Tom,
The compressor surge is more a function of the aftermarket BOV that is in your car than from running your turbo hard. Until we find another BOV (MR BOV perhaps) that doesn't leak and doesn't induce surge at partial throttle, it's just something we have to deal with
