2 SRT-4's, and a Honda.. rofl.
I tried my best to hit 13's, but I couldn't. The lowest I ran tonight was a 14.1 with 3/4tank of gas. I'm improving because 2 weeks ago I couldn't go faster than 14.8, rofl. I need to work on my reaction time. I ended up bracket racing as well, and can continuously hit 14.2** without any problems. I'll wait another week or two and go back, maybe with a dynoflash and catdelete piep

Let me guess here.... 60' time of 1.95 or higher correct? Also, what trap speeds are you running?
Anyway, the fact that you are imporving so much shows how important the driver is in these cars. If you are trapping around 96 then you have a "down powered" EVO like mine was stock and are hitting pretty good times. If you are trapping 100+ MPH then there is a lot more potential left in the car and you will be in the 13's soon as you learn to drive it better.

Best trap speed I've got (when I first got the car) was 101mph. Otherwise I'm getting high 90's every time. The lowest I've got was a 92, because I bogged, but on average it's 98. My 60' time was always over 2. ALWAYS.

Your 60' time is a little-bit low but on the good side it'll save your clutch. I certainly sure that with Dynoflash, test-pipe and clutch-burn, you'll get into 13 easily. Enjoy.

I think you mean a little bit high. most people are cutting at least 1.8x 60' with stock clutch. You can have a decent 60' time without killing your clutch if you know how to drive. regardless, 13's are just a good launch away. keep practicing

Just got to learn to trust the car. The stock clutch will hold a 5500 rpm launch making stage 1+ power so at stock power levels it should not have any problems at all. Unless you slip it too much and over heat it.
Thanks for all the responses. I try to take it easy because I'm the only red evo in my town, and have yet to talk to the service department to setup an understanding. I raced 3 different SRT's in total, with WAY better drivers than I am, so I'm sure that an evo is faster than a SRT.

my first night ever at the strip i ran a 13.8 with a 1.8 60', all i have on my car is a aem intake,so you should be able to get into the 13's,bc i can't drive well at all and i got it.....so good luck

Hey SilverSRT4 I guess they deleted your reply or you did. But at the grudge races it is all about ET's since the driver is not trying to cut a perfect light. All he was saying is that his ET's were quicker then yours. He never said the races were straight head to head bracket races and unless you talked to him and agreed on that then all that counts is the ET on the slip.
If you read his statement it says "the other drivers were better" which means that yes you can cut a better light and have driven your car at the track more times. He also said it was his first night at the track so dont expect him to cut perfect lights to be the first one to the finish line. Now put a "driver" that knows how to drag race and all your going to be seeing is those EVO tail lights from much futher back. All its going to do is make your car look much slower.

Here's the link to the timeslips. The middle one was against a black srt-4, other 2 were the silver srt-4. Notice the silver srt-4 in the first race won by .050 .

Funny how he says he beat you, but on one of the runs he red lights. If he is all about bracket racing he would know that he just LOST that race because of his driving. Anyway I dont see why he is bragging since high 14's is very slow even for what he is driving. So the "come back after you learn to drive" should never come out of his mouth PERIOD, since he still needs to learn how to drive his car. Even my chipped K03 A4 went faster then that posting 14.2's.

Hey audi 2.0 are your times below your signature with stock maps or custom tune and with pump gas or race gas? I have Vishnu Stage 1+ and run 93 octane and I am looking for some ballpark numbers to expect at the dragstrip.
Please let me know.....

The times in my sig was with smogrunners car. It is a stage 1+ tuned for C16. Those times are on the slow side for that car, when I ran those times smogrunner ran 12.5/12.7, but at carlsbad he runs high 12.2's to 12.3's.Originally Posted by Cajun Power
