Please List your best 1/4 times and your mods when timed!!!
Hey guys, just trying to get an idea of what combination of parts are being most successful with our Evo's. I know there are variances between drivers, location, climate and may other things, but I would love to hear about your best 1/4 times and what mods you had to get you there! If you have slips, show 'em, if not we'll have to trust ya. Thanks.
Just for the record I haven't been to the track, but after my Dynoflash tomm, I think it will be time!

there isn't another evo here that has ran faster than a 14.5!

The mods I had on my 3000GT (with stock 17" chrome wheels weighting in at 55lbs each) I ran 12.80 were:
1) Custom 3.5" Cat Back Borla XR1 (or is that ZR1? I gave them away when I moved to CA and running stock now) exhaust. $700
2) Blitz SBC running at 18 psi $400
3) 3.5" Downpipe $350
4) High Flow Cat $150
5) Blitz metal air filter $150
6) Spark plug wires and copper plugs. $100 ( I think)
7) Metal Intake Pipe (smaller than stock, stock rubber were getting sucked in). ($50)
8) Underdrive Pully $free (Chien at Nexus Motorsports gave it to me)
9) Center Force Clutch $free (Chien at Nexus Motorsports gave it to me).
Total Mods were around $1,500 +$700 for amps and two 12" bass subs in the truck.
Next run I ran was 13.00 with a friend in the car and the A/C on at 75&80 in Frederick, Maryland.
I been comparing the 60 foot time because that's what matters the most (to me at least. If I ran a 2.0 60 feet than my 1/4 is around high 13 second). I ran 1.81 60 feet time, 12.80 @108.9.
Everything else were stock and I used 93 octane close to full tank of gas with the spare tire and jack removed for the custom speaker box.
I been reading DRAG Forums to see how fast the EVOs are and how much money it'll take to get it into the 11s. It seems like EVOs are pretty slow on the straights (unlike my car which is pretty slow on turns weighting in at 4,000 lbs).
Can someone post an est. on how much it'll cost to get an EVO running 11.99? Someone here is running 11s on stock turbos. How much will it cost to get those times?
Ooops forgot to add that I hollowed out the two pre-cats and yank out the honey combs in the mass air sensor. The car has passed CA smog twice now.
Thank!

Fearcazic-
The EVO is like any other car out there, meaning that the car can't drive it's self. Not saying that these guys can't drive, but with more practice I'm sure they can achieve much better times. I believe the normal times for stock EVOs have been 13.4 to 13.6, and some have been able to achieve low 13s. Also I see that the cars listed above have not utilized any sort of ECU flash or stand alone system, this I believe is perhaps one of the best modifcations a person can do to their EVO. If you check the 1/4 mile list you'll notice that many EVOs with the similiar mods have run high to mid 12s. I witnessed a couple of EVOs in person run low 12s with list mods than the cars posted above (yet these EVOs both utilized an ECU flash and tuning). Last thing, I too once owned a 1994 VR4 with similiar, actually more modfications than you, and the best I could achieve was a 13.29@107MPH, I'm sure I could have lowered that, but you are a much better driver than me and I give you props on that, but it further illustrates the importance of driving abilities.

Another thing to point out is that the West Coast guys will be slower because of our terrible 91 octane gas. I am pretty sure I could have improved my times if I had 93 to 94 octane.
