My evo loves to slide

Anyone else notice how prone the evo is to oversteer?? maybe its just mine but whenever I go trail braking into a corner or lift off the throttle, my backend loves to swing out. I'm not complaining, it's lots of fun, but for a car that I expected to tend towards understeer, as long as it's driven smooth and properly, it has great turn in and oversteer capabilities. I love it.

and in the rain and snow...man oh man.

Be careful with the whole lifting the throttle thing. The first night I had my Evo, I jumped in my friends evo and almost died when he lifted the throttle and spun the car, we went backwards for a 100 ft or so. Funny thing was that i jinxed the whole thing right before we got in the car I said " Don't kill me, I just got my evo"

if you spin, both feet in! then he wouldn't have gone backwards for 100 ft im thinking.

ive said it before i got a rear strut bar almost a week ago and installed it that day and i would swear by it. it really helps with stopping the oversteer and raises the limits of your evo

P.S. it was the really cheap ebay strut bar (22.50)

Strange...I would think a rear anti-roll bar would increase oversteer...unless its a weaker one.

definitely keep on the gas, feathering the throttle if you start drifting this car. Letting off or even worse, touching the brakes, will definitely send you into a spin.

I thought rear strut bars are neglible in everyday perfomance without the addition of rear sway bars?

hello,

so when the car starts to oversteer, all we have to do is just give more gas?
or is there more to it?

any steering involved????

thanks in advance

Counter steer slightly and give it gas. The front wheels will pull it straight.
