Launching the EVO
5500k dumps FTL. Dumping is the quickest way to break ****.
Also, whoever said "you should hear a chirp"... that's just bad info. That's wasted wheels spin you don't need/want.
I got in a bit over 50 launches on my stock clutch (about 40 at the track and the rest on the street) before one bad launch chewed it up.
Stock 2 step is 5000rpms. That's a great starting point for the stocker. The way I launch is like this... I slip the clutch quickly to about half way up. By the time it gets there, I'm moving and the RPMs dropped by about 750 or so. At that point, I let go of it. Works for me every time. I was cutting consistent mid-1.7's stock.

the stock clutch will last if you launch it properly with lower power levels. remember to get off the pedal as fast as possible without dropping it and let the restrictor pill slip the clutch for you.
