shi*tty launching help?
BluEVOIX: That sounds perfect. I tried launching my Evo the other day and it turned out I slipped WAY too much, the car actually felt significantly slower then if I were to just take off from 5mph and wait for turbo lag to end.
I've been abale to sprint to 60mph in 4-5 second froma 5mph roll (mega lag) with my current mods. When I tried launching it took over 5 seconds. My timing techniques I'm sure are not entirly accurate, but accurate enough to know my launching sucks.....

My launches sound way more smoother then that vedio posted above that launch almost sounded like he was on the edge of bogging. my rpm's never fall below 5k when i launch.
wow .....
i tried doing this for the first time , and i had the worst launch ever!
the car didnt pulled, and it basically slipped the clutch all the way (almost to redline)
worst rookie feeling
,and smell.....
got it right the second time

I pull 1.7s and have got a 1.69;(this is only used for quick et not heads up racing)
I dont use the stationary luanch control,
I start at idle slowly raise the rpms, as the tack sweeps 5k I slack the drivetrain and then as we reach 5600ish i quickly slip the clutch out while also quickly putting the throttle to the floor.
Its all fluid movement and no clutch smell is involved.
