Don't rip on this guy. He knows how to drive... hes was right behind me in points at our local autocross in BSP class. He was just trying to impress a girl... you know how that can turn out.

I'm sure we have all done stupid **** trying to impress the ladies at some point in our lives, it just didn't turn out well for him. I'm sure half of you would have made the same mistake on this particular corner if you tried to go all our after only one or two runs.

 

^agreed. too fast for a decreasing radius turn. he CAN drive but that turn was TOO much for the car to handle..

Those two statements seem to contradict each other. Obviously he doesnt know how limit, whether he over estimated his ability or his car's.

 

So... was she impressed?

he usually knows the limit, but went over it to try to impress a girl that likes drifting by drifting... he won't do that again.

i had more pics up but removed them to "less exploit" the person / place of this accident. i would probably have made the same mistake to impress a girl. most of us would have. he is a good guy so dont pick on him.. it was a simple mistake. no one is perfect. this is more of just a "look what happened to an STI " kinda thread and NOT a "look how bad this guy drives" thread ....

Always flamers here.....and that's exactly what they are flamers (gay) I'm glad he's okay and hope he gets a second chance to buy a car he loves. It's always easy to be a monday morning quarterback and talk about the coulda, shoulda, woulda but the fact is no one knew the driving conditions that were flaming so they should either post their interest on the subject or just leave it be.

 

Endangering yourself and the girl you're trying impress is stupid. If you're going to do something stupid and potentially fatal at least don't involve others.
