How do you guys launch

considering the clutch issue's with the EVO, just wondering how you guys launch your cars at the strip. do you guys feather the clutch or just side-step it?

6000rpm and a "fast" slip, it'll hook like crazy and you'll smell clutch

bliip throttle between 5000 and 6000 rpm's , dump clutch at once, spins tires a bit, = 1.75 60 ft not as abusive as some may think. I dont smell clucth at all, she just grabs

This is also the method I use though I find it hard to be consistent with it. Do you blip it while staging and then floor it right before you drop it?

put it into first right away... thats what i think.. coz you rev on neutral.. Then press clutch.. shift to first on a high RPM .. like 5500...

you blip the throttle while waiting for your lights, then fully drop the clutch (no slipping, it burns your clutch) ,while giving her full gas

sorry newb question but when you guys launch are you guys in neutral then hold the clutch and rev to 5000-6000rpm and then shift to first or are you guys in first gear and hold the clutch and rev up to 5000-6000 and let go

What is the advantage (if any) of blipping to get it at a certain RPM instead of just holding it at a constant RPM using part throttle? Are you trying to get it so that you coordinate the last "blip" with dumping the clutch?

You're trying to build some boost, (like a few psi) so you'll have some power and torque to get moving quickly. While you're learning, IMHO you should get more used to the car and transmission before you try this. You can burn up your clutch awfully quickly.
