so today i went to test drive an mr and i noticed that when trying to launch the car if it goes past a certain rpm while holding ur foot on the break it kicks out of gear and says slow down on the dash.... just curiouse on how u guys are launching ur cars???? theres no way to build up rpm and boost to get a good 60 ft. any info would be great cuz im looking to buy a x... thank you

I have an x gsr so I cant' help you there. sorry

 

I've launched my MR and in s-sport manual.

What's the problem?

- I did ASC all off (hold it down)
- Transmission in Manual Super-Sport
- Left foot pinning down the brake pedal (no creep)
- Right foot pinning down the throttle
- Revs rise to around 5-5500rpms
- Release brake keep right foot planted in the gas
- Take off

No issues and I launched twice in a 2 minute span.

I also have launched my MR same way. No problems. I have never experienced the slow down light yet

 

 

thanks for the info. opted not to go with the x mr considering the price tag.

 

you only get the slow down light if you try to perform the launch with ASC on and the tranny in another mode other than s-sport.
