No problem-- and thanks about the videos. I've been lucky enough to get to play around with a number of pretty amazing cars this year and even a couple times in the rain... thus the videos! Good shifter-handling is becoming a lost art and it honestly a good way to impress people in your car or even team owners.

First one was Lou Gigliotti's ALMS GT2 Corvette, the second was the Turner Motorsport Grand-Am Koni Challenge GS M3, and the last one was the former Turner Motorsport Speed World Challenge Touring Car in BMW Club Racing D-Mod trim.

Going to have to look at those clips, seen each of those cars at one point or another, likely here at Mid Ohio. Thanks for sharing Matt. I agree on it being a lost art... When truly at the edge of adhesion, any unsettling of the car be it from steering input or gas/brake/clutch input is likely to end an otherwise fun day. I have found it easier to drive any of the race/autox cars smoother than many road cars I've driven as well.

those were great videos. You handled lightning great in the rain, i had worse luck and became really good friends with a wall of tires lol.

+1
smoothness is key, try letting off the clutch bit slower, in a more even, controlled manner.

Don't feel too bad. I had been driving my evo for a couple months and was by no means a noob at quick shifts. One night I was out with a friend and had downed more beer than I should have so he drove. After watching him drive MY car better than I ever had, I had to swallow my pride and ask him for pointers. As long as you're willing to ask for help and strive to be better you will be fine.
