sorry mate kinda hard im semi translating from australian slang and im converting kms to miles,
i do alot of tarmac rallies in my car and when i am pushing to get the best time during practice
i keep hitting the corner harder and harder, as soon as i get the grip limit squeal on the tyres it means i can usually add another 3-5 kmh to my speed at the most or i will lose control or race line

By cracking the weight balance with brackes, and get car going side before the corner. But, as we use the normal tyres, with ordinary thorns 1.2 mm

What do you think about this?

Does the rear lsd help to drive corners quickly?

A regular open diff will put power to the wheel with less grip. So when you go around the corner and the weight transfers to the outside making the inside tire light, that inside tire will spin and you go no where.

the LSD helps put power to the wheel with more grip - generally the outside wheel. And away you go.

^^ depends how you do it. The stock clutches don't like launching too much though. If you do it correctly and don't just dump the clutch, they can hold up fairly well.

I have a 04 evo 8 (no ACD). I was out at the track recently and I was launching at 5k-5.5k. Not dumping the clutch but lifting slowly on pedal and holding it right at the point where the car would slowly move then at green fully release and go WOT.

I am not sure if this the "proper" way to launch it but it did seem safer than dumping the clutch at WOT.

Is there a difinitive How to launch your car and not kill it?

BTW: total noob here, 2 months into it.

^^^^yes its called launch control, rev limiter needs to be set so you can keep your gas pedal WOT. holding rpms and slipping clutch is very hard to do and is more harm to the clutch if done improperly

Here is a perfect example. Although the 2003-2004 Evos didn't come with it from the factory. Only 2005 and later.

You would have to be tuned for it.

You have to have the clutch depressed and be in first gear stationary and floor the gas pedal. You will see the rpm bouncing at 5k to 5.5k Then gradually release the clutch.
