Any good tips for a launch?

Hey guys so i got an 08 evo GSR about 2 months ago, and ive recently started playing around with launching it. from what ive noticed, if i dump the clutch at like 4k-5k rmp the car will bog way down, or i try doing a quick slip and ill burn the clutch and stink up my car. So i guess what im looking for is any tips or advice you can give me that works best for you.

Thanks!

I practiced a good bit in my fwd honda at the track but the first time I launched my evo I just pulled the ebarke let the car move forward alittle so I wouldn't shock the drivetrain then I held it at 5k and I started letting clutch out until it moved alittle then I jus let the clutch go and just held the hell on lol its so smooth every time no bog at all with 18s and bfg summer tires so not to much spinage
