You taken a step on your road to recovery.

Just remember when your driving on the street, 90% of the time it has nothing to do with your skills. It's all about what the idiots out there on the road and in parking lots are going to throw at you. Parking lots are especially bad places to drive recklessly and with poor judgement. Come on, you know what it's like in NoVA... idiots everywhere.

Just take the advice of others and slow down. Once you get a little older (like maybe 38 like me?) and you start to see more and more weird **** happen, you'll have a better appreciation for why it's important. Heck, I bet half or more of the people flaming you in this thread have pulled plenty of asshat maneuvers when they were young. I know I did. Fortunately for me I was lucky and never killed anyone or caused any major damage by my own fault. But, I will say that I've had more accidents in parking lots in 22 years of driving (from people backing out in front of me) then I have ever had on the "open road".

You will NEVER suffer regret or guilt from driving too slow through a parking lot. The same can't be said if you killed someone's kid driving like an a-hole.

Dang whatever man, thats just crazy stuff your doing. Evo, STI, Ferrari, Geo, Kia doesn't matter...going that fast is just to dangerious. All my accidents i been in were in fact in parking lots. I was just backing around too at like 5 mph! Its good to hear that you'll take it down a bit, especially if there civilians around the area. Your only a bad driver if you have the bad attitute to match.

I been on both ends recently. When I was young a did my fair share of stupid things behind the wheel. Luckily I never had any accidents but looking back I was oh so close a couple of times. While it may seem cool and fun at the time, later in life you'll realize it wasn't.

Recently my girlfriend (who must be better than the rest of cause she just got a lexus) was driving down the road and some 18 year old punk ran a stop sign showing off for his girlfriend and hit her square in the drivers door.Luckily she was unhurt. The best part is he doesn't even have a license and just got out of jail. That lady probably didn't think she was better than you she was just looking out for her interests (her car and more importantly her kids). Now we are getting screwed cause if insurance fixes it, it will never be the same, if they total it we are out a down payment and still have to get a replacement vehicle.

So I guess what I'm saying is have your fun but be responsible and you better be ready to face the potential consequences of your actions. Jesus, I sound like my dad.LOL

At the racetracks the pit and paddock speed is 5 mph...........

Want to go fast go on the track. It will get it out of your system in a safe way.

yea jeff, slow your *** down! i learned my lesson after two tickets..the second one is one my record and i know that if i get another one within another year and a half, my license is *poof* gone. there's good places where u can test you and your car's limits (autox and track days) but the street is not the place to do it..although it is pretty exhilerating

im 18, im not sure how old u are, but i learned quickly that pulling **** on the road isn't worth it. i paid over 200 bucks in fines so far, lost 4 hours of my life from the traffic school, got stress from cops who pulled me over, and now am pressured that if i get another ticket, i will lose my license. It's not worth it at all..
