Went to Track Today

Today I went to the track with a few buddies to compete with the local F-body club that rented out a track. The track was U.S. 41 in Indiana and the weather was perfect for dragging, low 40's in the morning with little wind and plenty of sun. I was anxious to see how my recently Dynoflashed evo would run and I was happy with the results. Here is my best run of the day. I still feel that the car has more in it, but the stock clutch may be holding me back from dropping the time any lower. Anyways it was a great day and my buddy with his STI was ripping it up also 12.1's @115, the look on some of the F-body members faces was priceless. Almost all the guys were cool and knew what our cars were about. Here's the slip.

Mods: 3" Aps turboback, Aem intake, Walbro 255, Ground wires, HKS 264's, Hallman MBC, and Mail in Dynoflash

I am anxious to see how the car would run with upgraded intercooler piping/front mount, and bigger injectors with a custom tune. For now I am happy with my setup and loved pulling on the Z-28's and SS's out of the hole and through the topend. Nothing like telling the guy that just lost that you have a motor nearly 1/3 the size of his

This was on a mix of 93oct. and 100 oct. and the boost on that run was around 21 psi. I tried turning up the boost more on other runs, but it didn't result in any quicker of times. Those LS1's that we were running really respond well to nitrous as many of them were trapping 120mph with bolt ons and nitrous. Overall the imports represented and my buddy in his stock M3 even managed a low 13 to top out a Z28.

Yeah he has an 18g with the usual supporting mods: turboback, fmic, utec, injectors, clutch, ect. He was boosting 25 psi and said he is tuned for 30psi, but for some reason the utec wouldn't let him go that high. Still a fast car, but that 6 speed holds him back from even quicker times

I think if you do a custom tune you'll gain a good amount of ponies MIght even hit 11's with a new clutch But congrats man - very impressive times.
