Question 10.5 & O2 housing

pm'd Al, about this but I think he's pretty busy doing reflashes or something. No worries, cause I know he's busy. So, I thought I'd run this past you guys.

Anyone running a flash with a 10.5 exhaust housing and an O2 housing (something like a Helix)? Thinking about adding these mods.

What kind of results? Dyno digits?

My only go-fast goodies: Invidia TB (catless), RMR intake, Hallman mbc, Walbro FP.

Thanks

I've got them, but I cannot comment because I'm in the middle east!

Sorry, can't answer the question.. but I can help with Al. He's in Florida right now (tuned my car last night) and doesn't really have much access to the forums. He'll get back to you though; rest assured.

Just my two cents.. Those both seem like really good mods to increase spool up and reduce boost loss. I don't know that they'll make too much more power, but I'm positive Al can tune you for them. I'll let him answer on the power gains.

Good luck!!

Thanks for letting me know about Al's where abouts. I really wasn't too worried about his response. I know that he's super busy and must get a crap load of e-mail/pm's/phone calls. I also know that he is really good about responding. I just thought that there would be more people either interested or have done these mods with a dynoflash.

So far it seems like only a single person with a dynoflash has done or thought about doing this mod. Just seems strange because there are so many people who have either input or experience on the Vishnu site.

Do I need to go over to the Vishnu boards?

This lack of input has been quite a disappointment. Either no one with a dynoflash has thought of this, or people who have done this just don't want to comment. This suxs for people like me and others who maybe thinking or will think about these two mods.

Guess I'll dig up some info on the Vishnu boards.

There's a bunch of posts, but I don't know of many Dynoflash users who also did this mod. I'm 100% certain that Al can tune for this, but the other poster was right, this mod helps spool and boost a bit, but the gains in midrange torque and drivability are the bigger benefit than the horsepower numbers though there is a gain to be had.

I have tuned 3 evos with this mod to date. It spools a bit faster and makes a bit more mid range power. At this point - tuning for this mod would be on a custom basis.

I am not sure the gains with this mod justifys the cost - a larger tubo such as the BR440 may be a more prudent option
