Having an issue after installing MR BOV
Hey guy, I recently installed an MR BOV and Perrin Cat Delete Pipe. The car sounds great. My current mods are HKS Racing Suction Intake, Perrin Downpipe, Borla 3" Exhaust, and HKS EVC V. Before I installed the BOV and the cat delete pipe, I was running 92 volume and 175 offset on high boost with my EVC and I was getting steady 19.5 pounds through 3 gears and about 20 pounds in 4&5. But now after the install, I am easily hitting the warning limit, at first I was actually spiking to 23.3, so we played around with settings but we were running into the same problem almost everytime I shifted from 3 to 4 it would spike and my EVC would cut the boost. I am not understanding why its spiking so high after I shift to 4 or 5. The best settings we came up with so far is 76 volume and 125 offset, with this I am getting about 19 pounds through 3 gears and then about 20 in 4&5. I am guessing its the load on 4&5 gear, the reason I am running boost there. But question would be why is it spiking between shifts so high between 3&4 or 4&5? Would you guys recommed different settings?

After switching my stock bov to the HKS SSQV my boost went from 21 to 25. I just turned it down with my mbc. The stock bov is known to leak so that is probably why your boost went up because you now have a well sealed bov on your car and it's not leaking. I have a HKS EVC EZ2 that I should be getting from a buddy this week, but I have no idea how to use it yet so I can't help you there.
I got rid of the HKS and put the stock one back on a few days ago and I'm not running the same amount of boost as I was with the HKS on. I guess it's time to go and adjust the mbc again.
