Nitrous Express Chiller Kit, Cool or Crap?

Hey Al,
I was wondering what your thoughts were on the freezing your intercooler mods out there. A couple of guys at the track had them Friday night and they sparked my interest especially because CO2 is readily available at the track. I heard about problems with the gas getting ingested into the intake and causing a loss of performance.

I know there are other guys out there with similar questions about these products which is why I figured I would post the question rather than PM you.

Let us know when you get a chance.

Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving!

PS. I love my DynoFlash especially seeing ever fading corvette lights behind me

I see Mach V has the company line of producing over 50 HP on a dyno, but has anyone actually seen a dyno sheet with a before and after using this product?

In order to see any real gain, you would have to tune your car for the lower intake temp. Frosting the Intercooler will help, but there is no way cooler air will result in 50hp without a coresponding tune to take advantage of it. Now how you tune for something that you only use every once in a while, I don't know.

I thought there was a thread on this, where the HP increase was partially due to the fact that the NO2 from the
Ntercooler was being sucked into the intake, thus causing a secondary effect.

I read that thread too, I don't want to use NO2. I would only be using CO2 which I think has a negative effect if it gets sucked into the intake.
