New Years Resolution - faster EVO

Hi Al.

It's the time of year for reflection and I've been looking through the changes we've seen over the past year in the EVO world. With the great successes the Dynoflash customers have had using countless different setups (including myself), I think you've proven that your skills as a tuner on the EVO are top-notch and deserving of much respect. I give you my personal Kudos and congratulations for your talent, dedication to your craft and customers, and never losing your enthusiasm for what must have been some long weekends!

OK, now it's all about me. My EVO's got 50K on it now and running great, but I'll probably have to retire it sometime next year and make it the weekend whoop-*** machine.

My goals are to have peak speed performance and still be able to use it as an everyday car if needed. As you can tell, my current Buschur mods w/ the Dynoflash have treated me very well and I'll be sticking with the same principle. A piggyback system doesn't thrill me, I'd rather have it custom tuned w/ your flash.

Here's what I'm thinking, tell me if I'm nuts:

264/272 cams
680 or 720 injectors
walbro fuel pump
Buschur 440 turbo
Custom dynoflash tune

This leaves me close to a Buschur stage 4 except for the stock IC and MAP.
The question I can't answer is does having the magnaflow muffler, stock IC and stock MAP eliminate the gains from a 440 turbo upgrade? I can't sacrifice the quite sound of the magnaflow but could put in the other parts, just wonder how much HP it would cost me without them. I always run 93 octane (if that's what I'm truly getting from the station, sometimes I have my doubt ) and do a lot of highway driving. Any suggestions will be welcomed!

If this project of yours is something you will be holding off on - I woul wait till the new Buschur 20 G turbo unit is available and see how they fare on the dyno

The BR440 is a great unit - but the 20 G may be better - time will tell

IF you go with the BR440 - you need to have almost a complete stage 4 to make it worthwhile - the magnga flow muffler will be fine - we did one like that it turned out great

Thanks for your kind words about my work!

Thanks Al. I've been watching Dave's progress on the stock turbo upgrades, hopefully he'll have some dyno #s by Christmas for the different options (16g vs. 20g).
What a present that would be!
