New ecu boost control is pretty sweet.

My car actually drops to 300 and 200 and bounces back up and stalls sometimes. I just deal with it. Damn cams

It seems that the very last thing I was testing on the boost control parameter in your car created a clitch as I tried that map on another car this evening and it created the same problem. The solution is easy - please return tomorrow and I will restore the next to last boost mapping paramteres. Sorry that this issue arose - apparently it takes a bit of time to arise. All part of testing a new capability - the boost control.

It will be worth it in the end, though. If it turn out you can completely control the boost with the ecu, that will be awesome. Overall though I am very happy, took some friends for a ride tonight and they said it feels quite a bit faster then this morning when we were out.

I was just trying to sqeeze out a tad more boost and it seems that the ecu does not like that last idea ! Easy to restore as I know what it is. Good thing it happend to the other guy so I was able to figure it out.

Thumbs up

Al came to Salt Lake City, Utah this weekend and has been very busy!! After arriving late Friday night and staying up late HE HAS CRACKED THE ECU FOR THE ELECTRIC SILENIOD!! He now has control over it allowing him to set the boost and virtually eliminate all boost taper. I let him use my Evo for the first "test run"!! My car went to 20 PSI of boost in 2nd and 3rd gear and held to 7,500 RPM!! It dropped less then a 1.5 PSI!! This is a very important mod because up until this weekend you HAD to buy a manual boost controller to have the consistent boost!! Let me tell you this, it runs like Forest Gump on steroids!!

Thanks guys - I love this town - its a very good place to tune. Today was like a dream with wide open roads and no traffic - 75 mph speed limit rules.

One thing I have to say about this place is that the guys here really love their evos. Despite the fact that there is only a few evos here - the guys here are really into thier cars. I wish I had my evo out here to take advantage of these roads.

BTW - guys what ever you do - USE CHEVRON GAS ONLY ! Avoid costco gas like it is the plauge.

DONT USE COSTCO GAS !

Peace and thanks AL

Hey Al,
I forgot to ask you when you went to tune my car, is there anyway to raise the stock 05' clutch rev-limiter from 5k to 5.5 or 6k?
