Al, I saw that you sold the Halman mbc in the past and I was wondering if you still sold them. If so, how can I buy one from you?

Hey Al, if I was to get tuned for 91 octane, what would happen if I ran on 100 octane at a race? Higher octane is safer for the car, so I'd like to be able to switch at the track without the tune causing problems... would it work just like putting 100 octane in the car now, add a little bit of hp but not as much as it could with a full tune on 100 octane?

You can run more boost - but will not make any extra power with higher octane alone unless you change the tune

But it'd still be safer and not cause any problems with a 91 octane tune? Like, I wouldn't lose power, or be running weird/rough?

No its totaly fine to run 100 - and I would suggest turning the boost up 3 psi at the same time

Okay, thanks a bunch Al, I may be going with a full custom tune instead of just the baseflash, how long do I have to make up my mind and send you the deposit?

AL i have a few questions for you, the reason i'm doing your flash is with my current setup & 780cc injectors i'm getting 25 degrees of total advance which is not acceptable on pump gas!!!!the afc is doing this because i have to pull out -20 to -30 on fuel so my ecu is thinking it can run a **** load of timing.) what kind of timing have you been doing on pump gas (91)(13 to 18?) you can get mine down tons correct??? i'm looking forward to making good power with your flash.
thanks, zach[/QUOTE]

al any info?????

Just running higher octane will probably make you run richer. You need to pull more fuel out with higher octane and you can actually run leaner overall like 12:1. Also I run about 27 psi with 100 octane. It didn't ever pull timing and ran like a beast. There is no point in running higher octane if you aren't going to at least lean out your a/f though.

Yeah, there is a point, it's A LOT safer on the engine then crappy 91 and all the other parts the fuel runs through... I don't want ANOTHER blown engine... That, and it's the easiest fuel to get on location at a track. Al seems to suggest it'll run just fine, maybe a bit rich but shouldn't lose any power compared to 91 octane, and allow me to crank up the boost to ~23 from 20... and that'll add that bit of power, but other than that I won't gain anything from the higher octane.
